Prologue~
Blood. White light. A baby's lone cry. It was all messed together, in a a foggy blur. Bella couldn't feel the pain anymore, but she also could barely hold on. It was getting worse and worse by the second.
"It's a girl." Edward said, a little baby swaddled in a bundle.
"Sh-she's beautiful."
"Renesmee." Edward whispered.
Everything was spotty. Bella was slipping away, she knew she was.
"Edward! Get that thing out of here!" Jacob snarled, pressing Bella's chest.
"Wait!" Edward yelled in utter surprise. It wasn't like him to be surprised. "Therese another one!"
"There's another one?!" Jacob's eye brow frowed.
It only took moments for Rosalie to come in and motion toward the baby. Her blond hair a little out of place form the episode that had happened only moments before. "Let me take her." He held back."I can handle it. I promise." Edward handed her the baby and went back to Bella. Her life was slipping so fast.
"I don't know if I can save the other baby in time. It'll only have seconds before she's gone."
"Wha-.......... Ed.........Ward? Another........."
"She's dying Edward!"
"Save......." Bella's voice was so strained, so cracked and withered, it made Edward's heart break. He stroked her hair, tenderly.
"Of course my love." Edward went back to the open, bloody mess of his wife and reached back inside. What he found was small- to small. Way to small. He pulled out the other child form Bella's womb. The baby was barely 3 pounds and tinged purple. It didn't cry or kick or scream. It just laid there.
"Save..............." Bella croaked again, faintly reaching for Jake who held onto her hand for dear life.
"She's alive. Just-"
"There's no time! Hand that thing off!"
Alice had already danced into the room. "Allow me."
Edward was at Bella's side again. "It was another girl my love. As beautiful as the first."
That's when Bella's heart stopped.
