"All the world's a stage
and all the men and women merely players
have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts
his acts being seven ages."
William Shakespeare
-Part One-
~ The Beginning~
In the very beginning, the only things I knew was darkness, hunger, smells, coldness and the feeling that I didn't belong. The six hours of my life were full of panic and fright as sharp things pricked me and voices surrounding me, slurring into speech I couldn't understand. There was no light, and all I could do was wonder if my sister was okay, if she was alright. It was torturous.
"Is she going to be alright Carlisle?" was the first true sentence I heard. I stirred from my sleep, and opened my eyes, not really expecting to see anything but darkness, but instead, I saw white light and fuzziness. I blinked a few times, and slowly they adjusted.
" I don't know Edward. This is far beyond anything I have ever experienced. "
The first thing I ever saw was a man's worried face looking over me, his hair disheveled. I knew it was my father by his smell. He stroked my cheek and I moved closer to his touch.
"You awake my little miracle?" I stared at him an blinked once, and he recoiled form my touch, which made me cry."Carlisle! She blinked!"
Before I could react, a man with slicked backed blond hair was by my side, shining something in my eyes. It hurt it was so bright.
"Her pupiks are dialating. She can see."
"How?" My father asked astonished, stroking my head. "You said she would be blind."
"She's half vampire isn't she? She probably healed herself."
My father gave out a sigh of relief. "Hey my little Miracle Baby." he cooed, rubbing his thumb against my cheek. "Your eyes are green.... just like mine used to be...."
"She looks a lot like you." Carisle smiled. It was a very kind smile that I trusted immediately.
"Can I hold her now?"
"Absolutely. She seems perfectly healthy now. It really is a miracle. If she wasn't half vampire, she would have died."
My father picked me up out of my small little haven, holding me close. "I can't wait for Bella to wake up and see them."
"Why don't you go show her off to the others? They'll be thrilled to see she's okay."
My father whisked me away into a different room. It was so fast I could b barely regster.
"She's awake!" A sweet, saprano voice sang.
I looked at the woman, small in stature and with pretty, short dark hair. There was man with her too, one who's smell was somewhat odd to me. Alice held his hand and he looked at me with intensity. I look right back.
"She's curious." He smirked. "Too curious."
"Sounds like someone we know Japser?" My father teased.
And his name is Jasper.
"Emmett! Rosalie! The baby is alive and well!" Alice called.
Rosalie was blond and smelt like roses, ironically, and the man with her, Emmett, was big and bulky and smelt like weak musk. It was nice to finally have faces. It was so frightening before. I felt hands and arms and smelt smells, but having nothing to connect them too.
