Through Good and Bad

Why Me?

        A few days later my the nurse finally let me go. I was able to go to the training room but not train. ¨Four, why can't I do my fears?¨ He came over to talk to me before he called the next person. 

        ¨Because we want you to heal more.¨ He said with worry in his voice. 

        ¨So you think that because I got beat to a bloody pulp, I don't have the mental capacity to do this? Is that it? Well, get over it because I'm going in.¨ I glared at him and he understood. He called the next person, and I just sat there and waited. When he finally called my name I got up and went into the room. I sat in the chair without hesitation. Four injected me and said, ¨You will be facing all of your fears, be brave Rose.¨ As he said that I passed out, I woke up in Abnegation and he was there. He started the beatings, but then I finally stood up for myself. I fought him until he was on the floor barely conscious. I did the last thing I had to, I delivered a blow to his temple and the fear dissapeared. 

        Another fear came and Eric stood there. He was kissing a girl and I started crying, He laughed at me and pulled the gun. ¨I never loved you, no one ever loved you. You shouldn't have been born.¨ All the people I loved stood behind him nodding in agreement. He pulled out the gun and tackled me to the floor. He put the gun to my head and turned away, but I turned his face and made him look at me while he shot me. Not even in my worst fear did he want to look as he killed me. Then... he pulled the trigger. The fear disappeared and I woke up crying. Four came over to me and wrapped his arms around me.

        ¨It's going to be ok. Whatever he did to you, you didn't deserve. He doesn't deserve you. Your beautiful young lady and one who can be trusted. If anyone breaks that trust they don't deserve you. You don't have to cry anymore.¨ He said to me with so much emotion in his voice. I looked at him and hugged him. He tensed at first but then he relaxed. We stayed like that forever and it was nice to know someone cared. ¨And about me being in your last fear, I wouldn't never ever do that. I will always be their for you. You also beat me at something.¨ He smirked. 

        ¨What's that?¨ I asked curious. How could I beat him at something.

        ¨You only have two fears, I have four.¨ I was surprised when he said this. Then it dawned on me, Four, as in four fears. He saw the realization hit me and laughed. His laugh was nice, like honey. He was one of the very few people I trusted and I knew I would be able to trust him forever. He was a genuine friend. 

        I walked out of the room saying goodbye and went to the pit. Not long after Four came into the pit and grabbed a plate. He came over and sat by me. He started talking to me, and Jax and Tanner just looked at me with shock on their faces. Four made a joke and we both laughed. I couldn't stop laughing, and I realized how good it felt to laugh after not doing it for so long. Right then my laugh died along with my smile when he came through the doors. He came over and launched himself at Four. 

        Four and Eric were fighting.
