Today was the day that I went to get the new initiates with Eric. Today was the day I got to show why I am leader. I was going to have fun with the new initiates. I woke up at six thirty to make sure I could get ready. I dressed in tight black pants, a tight tank top, combat boots, my hair up, and my makeup done to perfection. It came to be seven forty five by the time I was done, just in time to hear a knock on the door. I opened it to see Eric standing there.

"Hold on, just let me grab my jacket." So I grabbed my jacket and locked the door on my way out. We walked to the tracks in silence, and stood there until we heard the train. As it started to approach, I started to jog with Eric close behind. As the train flew past me, I picked up my speed and hopped up and caught a hold of the door. I pushed the button so the door would open and stepped in, Eric stepped in right after me.

"Are you excited?" Eric asked. I looked at him and thought about it.

"Yes and no. I mean, I'm excited because I want to have a little fun with the leader stuff. If you know what I mean, you do do it everyday." I grinned. He smirked knowing what I meant.

"So what your saying is, you want to use the leadership to scare the new initiates." He said it as a statement and thought about it. An evil smirk came over him and he said, "ok then, I'll help."

"Oh, I know you will. You do it naturally." We both smirked and talked the whole way there. When it was close to time to jump, I backed up to the back of the train. It was time to jump and I ran and jumped. I felt suspended in time and landed with the most perfect landing. Eric on the other hand had to land and roll. I laughed and he looked at me with a smirk.

"What are you laughing at?" He glared. I laughed harder than ever before at that motion.

"I got the perfect landing and you didn't, it makes me happy. Then you try to glare at me, Eric you're glare doesn't effect me anymore." He just smirked and started walking to the building where the choosing ceremony takes place. We went up to the podium to show that we represent Dauntless and soon after people started to pile in quietly, that is until Dauntless got here. I smirked at how loud and obnoxious we really were. I walked over and started conversation with the few that have passed by me. Then I noticed a girl and a boy who were sitting quietly and I knew that they were switching factions. I walked over to them and a nervous expression came over their face.

"So, I have a feeling that you two will be leaving us today. Well, good luck to the both of you and I hope you make the right choice for yourselves." I smiled at them and laughed we their jaws dropped. I just shook my head with a laugh and walked back over to where Eric stood.

It was Marcus Eaton giving the speech and I didn't much care for him and quickly became bored. After what seemed like forever he called the first name. "Gene Lockheart." A girl stood from Erudite and came to the stand. She took the knife and cut her palm and placed it over the Amity bowl. Everyone in Erudite gasped and I just nodded my head in acceptance. He continued to call names and I tuned them out. Then I heard, "Beatrice Prior." She came down nervously and I remembered hearing that her brother Caleb Prior picked Erudite. As she came up to the bowl she looked nervous and when she took the knife her hands were shaking.

She made a cut on her hand and her hand hovered above the Abnegation bowl then moved to Dauntless. Her blood sizzled on the hot coals and Dauntless cheered loudly. I did nothing but stare in pure disgust. Not because she was Abnegation, but because she looked unsure of it. She looked as if she wanted to jump off of a cliff when she made that choice. If you do not like our faction, do not pick it.
