First off thank you to Veronica Roth. This story I'm doing, I wouldn't have been able to do it without you. To all the people reading it, thanks hope you like it. First fanfic ever, here we go. Also, I would very much appreciate it if you would comment your opinion, but be nice about it. Tell me what you think I should do to make it better.
It was the day for the aptitude test, to be honest though, I don't know if I'm excited or nervous. Knowing that the aptitude could very well be my last chance to get out of this stupid house and an abusive father. I still have to go to school for one more day, and the wait is excruciating. My friends keep trying to see what is wrong, since were in abnegation they are just being selfless. I can't stand that anymore. People need to think for themselves.
After my last day of school before the test I go home. My father isn't there and I knew where he was and I'm scared of when he does come home. Since he not there I go to my favorite spot, I head for the roof, sit down, and watch the sun set. That is the only peace I get and I plan to get more. I haven't made my decision, but all i know is I have to get out of this house. I went down to the kitchen real fast to get a snack and a drink, when my father came in.
¨What do you think your doing?!¨ He hollered and I could hear the slur in his voice.
¨Nothing dad.¨ I said frightened. He walked over to me slowly and purposfully trying to stay upright. He reached behind me and grabbed my arm and pulled it in front so he could see what I was doing. ¨So your a theif and a liar. Your stealing things that could be going to the factionless, and you don't even feel guilty for it!¨ He was screaming by then. He took his belt off, folded it in half and I was waiting for the belt to come down. When it finally did, I screamed in pain and fell to the floor. It felt like a thousand tiny little needles growing in my skin. This went on for twenty-five minutes.
After that he took me to a little room that was so dark, no windows, no room to breath. I was waiting for my brother to help me but forgot he wasn't here anymore. Finally, I fell asleep into a dreamless state that I was happy to welcome.
The next morning we sat in the the cafertia, waiting for our names to be called. Amity was sitting at their table laughing. Candor, telling the truth about everything. Erudite, talking about smart things. Abnegation, not talking at all because it is to selfish to think about talking and having a good time for ourselves. The their's Dauntless. Laughing, joking, wrestling, and playing around having the time of their lives. I envied them. I wish I could be like them. After tomorrow, I might just be one of them.
¨Rose Evergreen.¨ They called my name and I stood all of a sudden getting butterflies in my stomach.
As I stood their waiting to be called into the room, I keep looking around. Nervous. The door finally opened and I looked up. Piercing blue eyes look into my green ones. He didn't tell me his name, just motioned for me to sit in the chair. For some reason I couldn't understand, I kept looking over at him. He finally looked over and caught me looking at him. I quickly looked down with a blush rising. He came over to stand by me with a needle, and I flinched away.
¨What afraid of needles?¨ He asked and I nodded ¨It won't hurt I promise¨ He looked at me with sincere eyes. I nodded and he pulled my hair back lightly brushing his fingertips on my neck. I felt a little buzz and didn't know why. He kept looking at me, then It was black everywhere.
So this is just the first chapter. I wanted to publish it before I did anymore, see how you like it. Please comment what you think.!
