Through Good and Bad

        Today was our last part of stage one then we move on to stage two, metal. Since it was our last day we had to fight to pass. I was up against Dean again and I knew it wasn't going to be easy. After I defeated him the last time, he has been training nonstop. ¨Alright, listen up,¨ Eric yelled, ¨this is your last fight make it count. Alrght first jumper and last jumper in the ring.¨ He called, when I got in the ring I was looking at Eric and he nodded at me. I was caught off guard when Dean rushed at me but quickly recovered and dodged. 

        I used the same technique and tripped him. I got on top of him ans started punching him in the face repeatedly. He pushed me off and hit my head against the floor. My vision went blurry but came back and I saw his fist getting ready to connect to my face. I ducked down and he stumbled I hopped back up and punched his throat. He was winded and I kicked his ribs, he went down. I puched him as hard as I could and he went down and didn't get back up. I hopped out of the ring and I heard Eric call me the winner. 

        After Tanner and Jax had their fights, and they won, we went to get something to eat. ¨You guys want to get another tattoo?¨ I asked wanting to celebrate our victory. I figured that I was going to get a quote. It was going to go down my left forearm and it was going to say I am Dauntless, I am... Brave. Or  I am Dauntless, I fight for what I believe in. Maybe both one under the other, or one on both arms. We went to the tattoo parlor and I got my tattoos. After that I went back to the pit with Jax and Tanner. We went shopping for new clothes for the party tonight. I got a black dress that went to about midthigh with black sandals. I wasn't one for heels. 

        Jax got a dress like mine only a little bit shorter and wedges. Tanner got a pair of black jeans and a nice shirt. We got ready and headed to the party. We got there and the first thing we saw was the board for the rankings, it was covered with a sheet. Max stood at the railing with my brother Stephen, also Angelina, Eric, Harrison. Max cleared his throat and spoke loudly, his voice echoing through the room, ¨Alright, settle down now. I'm not one for speeches so here it is short and sweet the rankings of the intiates. We are proud to say you have passed stage one.¨ He waved and they uncovered the score board. I couldn't believe my eyes...

        After that I didn't pay attention. ¨Rose your first.¨ Tanner said to me excitment lacing his voice. 

        ¨You got second, Jax om my god you guys did amazing.¨ We went to the bar to celebrate and I only had one beer. I went to the chasm and sat down my legs hanging over the edge. I put my head in my hands and sighed.

        ¨You ok?¨ I knew that voice anywhere. Eric was walking up to me then sat down right next to me maybe a little closer than he should have. 

        ¨Yeah, I'm fine.¨ He took my hand in his and turned my arm over. This was the arm that said I am Dauntless, I fight for what I believe in. He read it aloud and nodded his approval. 

        ¨I like it. Why did you get it?¨ I told him why and he just nodded. 

        ¨WHy are you acting like everything is ok? Ever since you kissed me, you've ingnored me. Eric I can't stand this, either you like me and want to talk to me or you don't. Pick one.¨ He sighed and looked down at my arm as if rereading the quote. 

        ¨I do like you,¨ he said after a great hesitation, ¨but maybe we shouldn't be together in public. Or at least until after initiation.¨ He said and he had guilt written all over his face. 

        ¨Fine, but next time think before you kiss someone. I'm not going to hide while dating someone. If I'm going to date someone I'm going to do it publicly. So thanks, but no thanks. Now treat me like an initiate.¨ I said the got up to leave. I was right at the entrance to the chasm when he grabbed my wrist and shoved me against the wall. 

        ¨You think I want to do this. Every second I'm without you is already pain enough. I want to be with you, I really do, but not in public.¨ He growled.

        ¨Well then your mind is made up isn't it? But obviously you don't want to be with me enough because I'm not dating in the shadows. I'm not going to pretend I'm not in love so there you have it. Now let me go.¨ I tried to shove him but only moved an inch. He pushed me against the wall and took my face in his hands and kissed me. He kissed me like I was the only one that could breathe for him. As he deepend the kiss my arms went around his neck and tugged his hair. He moaned against my mouth. We heard footsteps and broke apart breathless. He looked into my eyes and said, ¨Is that proof enough I want to be with you?¨ The people had left the room and I shook my head . 

        ¨Fine I guess I'll just have to prove it some more won't I?¨ He questioned smirking. I nodded and he took my hand in his and led me to his apartment. He grabbed my waist and pulled me through the door and we were kissing right when the door closed. He pushed me up against the wall kissing me fervently, and lifted me up. He didn't break the kiss as he took me to his room. He layed me on the bed and looked at me, ¨You should get some sleep, tomorrow is the second stage of training.¨ He looked at me and laughed because I was pouting. ¨Go to sleep. Now.¨ He said as he lay down beside me. I lay my head on his chest and he kisses my forehead. ¨Goodnight Rose.¨

        ¨Night Eric.¨ With that I fell asleep to the steady beat of his heart and rythmic breathing.
