Through Good and Bad

Today was the last day of the third stage. I was in first place all the way through stage one and stage two. I hope I can stay that way for stage three. Today we had to perform in front of the faction leaders. I was nervous, but not too nervous.

I turned to give Four a hug but he wasn't there. I sat up panicked, fearing that he left me. He must have heard the sudden movement because he came rushing in. ¨Where did you go? I thought you left me.¨ I cried. He shook his head and came to sit by me.

¨Remember what I said? I wouldn't leave you through anything. Okay?¨ I nodded and he gave me a kiss. ¨Now get up and take a shower. It's going to be a long day.¨ I nodded and went to take a shower and forgot that I didn't have any extra clothes.

¨Four,¨ I came out in a towel hollering for him. ¨I need a shirt and sweats if you don't mind.¨ He came in and handed me some clothes and just stood there. I just shook my head and walked towards the bathroom. He grabbed my waist and pulled me to him. ¨I have to go get dressed. ¨Release me now.¨ I demanded. He just laughed.

¨Come on, you don't have to go in there.¨ He said giving me a trail of kisses down my throat. I turned to face him and he was grinning from ear to ear. I smiled and said, ¨Well, now that you mention it, no. I have to go get ready. No distractions for the day I become a dauntless member.¨ He sighed and I made my lips brush his to tease him. He groaned when I pulled away making me laugh.

¨That's not fair Rose.¨ He whined. I came back out a few minutes later and told him I was going to see my brother. ¨Who's your brother?¨ He asked. I gave him a questioning look.

¨My brother is Stephen.¨ I said and he got a worried look on his face. We said goodbye and I went to see Stephen.

¨Hey Stephen, nice to have you come see me every now and then.¨ I argued.

¨I'm sorry, I've been really busy with leadership stuff that I've barely gotten sleep. You're forgetting, I see your progress everyday, remember. Plus, I get updates from Four and Eric.¨ I tensed at his name. Stephen noticed the changed and asked, ¨what's wrong?¨

¨Nothing. Well, today's the big day are you coming to watch?¨

¨Have to, I'm a leader in case you were forgetting.¨ We talked until it was time for me to leave, ¨Bye Rose. Good luck.¨

¨See ya Stephen.¨ I walked to where the test would be and sat bye Jax and Tanner. We talked until they were called and then I was the last one. I got in there and Four came with the syringe.

¨Good luck Rose. Be brave.¨ He walked away and I went in. I came back to reality god knows when. Everyone was standing there talking. Four came up to me and told me, ¨You did great fifteen minutes. Let's go for a walk.

I nodded and we went to the rooftop. I breathed in the fresh air and tilted my head back with my eyes closed soaking in the sun. After a long silence we went back to the pit just in time to see the scores being uncovered.

That was all I cared about. Jax and Tanner found me and we screamed. ¨We did it you guys!¨ I hollered. ¨Oh my god, we're Dauntless now. We need to celebrate.¨

¨Yeah, party at the pit tonight.¨ Tanner screamed. Everyone cheered. When the party came I was with Jax getting ready, we had bought more dresses and the one I wore was of course black. It was mid-thigh maybe a little higher with flat shoes and I had my hair and makeup done. We got to the party and was immediately seen by Four and Tanner. They came over smiling, Four grabbed my waist and pulled me to the dance floor.

We danced in a sexy way and to a slow song. When the party was over Max came to the railing before we left. ¨New Dauntless members, you are officially Dauntless. Tomorrow we will be arranging jobs and housing. Good luck, and welcome.. to Dauntless.¨ Everyone cheered and fist pumped the air.

Four and I got back to the apartment and he picked me up and through me over his shoulder. I laughed and kissed his neck. He through me on the bed and climbed over me. ¨Wow, so damn beautiful. Ranked first in everything and is now Dauntless. You're so fucking sexy.¨ He growled. I reached up and pulled him to me. We started kissing fervently and his hand ran under my shirt. We held each other like we were going to lose each other. I put my hands on his chest and pushed him down so I was over him and I sat up. ¨You know what? I don't think you deserve me." I said as I pretended to get up and leave. He grabbed my legs and pulled me to him.

¨You're not leaving me.¨ He stated and started kissing me again. ¨Get some rest. You've got a big day tomorrow, seeing as your first. You'll probably get a leadership offer.¨

¨I might work in the control room. I don't think I want to be a leader.¨

¨If you get a leadership offer you take it. Do not let him get to you. Okay, promise me you'll take it.¨

¨Fine, but I will also pick initiate trainer.¨ He shrugged. I lay down beside him and we just keep whispering to each other. Finally, I fall asleep to the beat of his heart and his steady breathing. This was perfect, I can't believe I've found Four. I can't see how he would fall for someone like me. But, he did and I fell for him. It was perfect. To be with him was as easy as breathing. I could never ask for someone as sweet as him. This was turning out to be perfect. Until, I accept Leadership. Then I'll have to see him.

Eric. What was I going to do?

Sorry this was a sucky chapter. I try to keep the suspense at the end but it always sounds weird to me. comment what you think, and please vote. Do you know how bad writer's block is? this is why I dedicated this to Kendra because she has been pushing me to write more.
