It seemed like he finally had gained the chance to unravel the thousand mysteries hidden inside his soulmate.

After Asahi ran away from Junghwan's house that day, he wasn't seen by any of them again. His contacts were changed, nobody knew his address and he even cut ties with Jaehyuk. He simply disappeared from Junghwan, Jaehyuk and Junkyu's lives. Now Junkyu, apart from feeling sympathetic towards Jaehyuk, actually felt glad. Junghwan did feel guilty and also sad for his so long favourite teacher but with time, he got healed too. The one with the biggest loss from that even was Jaehyuk. It seemed like he lost the little trust he built inside Asahi by talking to him in the snap of a finger.
He did look for Asahi again, but since he knew what his soulmate was guilty of, he didn't ask for Junkyu or Junghwan's help. He kept his lone trials on but got home every night with nothing but more stress, regret and frustration.
That night, Jaehyuk had to stay at Junkyu's place again. And Junghwan, since his exams ended, was seen glued to Junkyu all the time. So he was supposed to be in Junkyu's apartment as well.
When Jaehyuk got home, the two were actually organising Junkyu's stuff. It was a natural though, Junghwan always had to clean up Junkyu's mess and he got quite used to it. The younger noticed Jaehyuk entering through the door which Junkyu opened. He grinned at that friendly face.
"Hi hyung!"
Jaehyuk smiled. Junghwan had dust on his hands, a bit on his nose too. He was cleaning Junkyu's desk.
"Hyung, why are you letting him clean everything?" Jaehyuk asked Junkyu.
"That's totally on him. Don't you think he's making me a part of it too?" Junkyu sulked. Almost immediately, Jaehyuk heard Junghwan talk, "Kyu! Get me the glass cleaner! And bring those books here too! Fast!"
Junkyu sighed at Jaehyuk. The younger let out a laugh. But then inspired his hyung to work. He was actually happy that Junghwan made this apartment a lot more livable!
But as soon as he went to his own room, he felt lonely. Junkyu and Junghwan's interactions- he loved and appreciated them so much but it also made him quite jealous. It's like looking at other people having something you failed to. It was harsh. His frustration prevailed even on the dinner table, when Junkyu was making sure Junghwan got enough nutrition. He gave and even fed Junghwan the essentials. Although it was sweet and wholesome, it made the hollow space in Jaehyuk's heart seem more vivid. No, he didn't wish him and Asahi to act the same way as Junkyu and Junghwan. At this point, his only wish was to see Asahi, to make sure he was okay, to hear from him about the whole incident.
"Jaehyuk ah, are you okay?" Junkyu asked. He could tell something was off.
"Yeah." Jaehyuk smiled. It was half hearted.
"Hyung, you can tell us." Junghwan assured. Jaehyuk just shook his head and got back to eating. He ate the bare minimum, then got back to his room quickly.
"He's still stuck up about Asahi." Junkyu commented. Junghwan nodded. He could tell too.
"Poor Jae! If Asahi only talk to him once..." Junkyu looked at Junghwan, "Hey, Hwanie, you sure his phone's switched off?"
Junghwan replied in the affirmative. "And all the other SNS accounts are disabled too."
"Why must he go that far!?" Junkyu spoke out of frustration. "It's not like you'll take revenge on him or anything."
"Kyu, I think he didn't do it for me." Junghwan said.
"Then?"
"He always told me he never wanted to meet his soulmate. Can it be that he did everything so that Jaehyuk hyung never talks to him?"
