Dearest Readers,

Dayum it has been awhile. Sorry bout that. But I am back, and with a lot more energy than I had before. Thanks for sticking with me through all the ruts and writers blocks, I really am so thankful for all of you! As always, let me know what you think, and I hope you enjoy!

When I woke up, it was immediately obvious that I wasn't alone. A large hand was wrapped around my waist, pulling me into a strong body behind me. The faint scent of woods and petrichor that was purely Glorfindel nearly made me tear up.

"Goldilocks," I whispered, turning my body so I was pulled up against his.

My hand automatically found itself dug into his hair, running through the thick golden strands.

"Nemir, meleth nin?" He mumbled, eyes shifting slowly to look into my own as he woke from his slumber. "What is it?"

"You're still here."

He sighed, closing his eyes as he pulled me in even tighter. His lips laid a gentle kiss on my forehead before he spoke, "I am not going anywhere ever again, Nemir. I am bound to you, as you are my heart, I am sorry that I had so easily forgotten."

I placed a kiss on his chest, scarred from the thousands of years he had faced in battle. "I am glad to hear it. But you know I can't forgive you this easily, after everything you put me through."

He let out another sigh. "I did not think I would be able to have you in my arms so quickly and I am thankful for it. I am well aware of the amount of groveling I must do to get back into your good senses."

I chuckled into his skin. "Good."

"I was wrong, I know that," he continued. "Lord Elrond actually berated me and told me to stop pursuing my duty, and to instead follow my heart." He kissed my forehead again. "And my heart is you. My duty is to you. I will not forget again."

"Good, cuz if you do I'll beat you up," I warned him, and squeezed his behind once more. "It's time you start the groveling, Goldilocks."

"Hm?"

"You know what I want."

"Yes, I think I do," he chuckled.

"Then do it."

And he definitely did it (if you hadn't noticed, I'm it).

An hour or two later, we were getting ourselves ready for the day. I was lacing up my boots when there was a knock on the door, and a pointed look from me directed Glorfindel to go see who it was.

"Lady Arwen of Rivendell instructed food be sent to your rooms, Lord Glorfindel," the elf at the door spoke. "She also asked me to inform you she has no desire to see you for the next five days, instead wishes the two of you..." he coughed. "To become reacquainted with each other."

I had to hide the burst of laughter that dared try to escape my mouth by biting on my fist. Dear gods, Arwen was really something when she wanted to be.

"She then told me to tell you both that she and the rest of the party will make sure everything runs smoothly with both the dwarves and whilst discussing trade agreements with King Thranduil."

Glorfindel's chuckle reverberated throughout the room. "Of course, thank you for letting us know about Lady Arwen's plans for us. We appreciate your help, and thank you for the food and drink."

I fell back on the bed, trying to hide my laughter at his obvious attempt to avoid directly admitting to anything.

This was amazing.
