Severia Lily Potter

First Day

She could hear her heart pounding hard in her chest as she walked down the stairs towards the great hall from where she could hear the chatter which means that the students had arrived and the sorting Ceremony had begun.

She quickly moved towards the great hall and as everyone was paying attention towards the sorting she slipped in between the first years who stood waiting for their names to be called.

Though she was in third year she knew she had to be sorted as told before by Dumbeldore.

She quietly stood in her place looking at the sorting as she had never seen one before and it was all new to her.She was nervous at the same time excited to start her new year at Hogwarts and really wanted to mingle well with other students of her class.

"Severia Lily Adams"called out a name.

(Her name is Adams after the orphanage which she still lives in as she didn't knew her last name).

After what felt like eternity to her when all the first year's were sorted Professor Macgonall whose name she didn't knew but she could make out she was stern by her looks,called her name.She trembled but walked towards the stool and sat on it.

"Hmmmm,hmm let me see an exact clone of your mother you are,a great mind,very smart indeed perhaps Ravenclaw is good but I see a very kind heart as well,hmm offcourse there is courage as well......... GRIFFINDOR"yelled the hat and the Griffindor table burst into claps even though she seemed quite old for a first year.

She sighed.Finally the hard part was over and she went to sit on the Griffindor table.Unaware that all the professors were staring at her with shock.

She quietly went and sat down on the end of table were only a few first years sat and quietly dug into her plate to have dinner.She wanted to talk to everyone and make friends but then thought that this was the first day so everyone were talking to their friends after a long vacation and so she shouldn't disturb them.She quietly had her dinner and then followed the prefect who showed them their dormitory.She was placed in a room with 2 other girls whom she obviously didn't knew.When she went to the rooms she saw nobody and then thought that maybe the other girls were with their friends so she quickly changed into her night pjs and tucked in the bed as she knew tomorrow would be an interesting day.

Next morning the sun rays hit her face as her bed was near the window and so she woke up from her slumber and climbed out of her bed.She quickly took her toiletries and went into one of the washrooms to get ready for the classes as it was 6 am in the morning and she takes a lot of time to get ready as she has to get her long waist length red hairs made up perfectly which was a hard task for her.

Once she was ready in her uniform she exited the bathroom and made her bed up neatly and then started with her hairs.They were so long they reached her waist,not silky but not rough either,not curly but not straight either,but she still had shiny soft hairs which she was grateful for.She quickly made her hair in a half pony and took her bag and left the room to go towards the great hall.

She quickly sat down on the Griffindor table were only a few students sat who were most probably 6th or 7th years who were busy chatting amongst themselves.

She filled her plate with a toast and some scrambled eggs and took tea with it not liking the pumpkin juice she tried earlier  the previous night.

As she was having her breakfast silently somebody tapped her shoulder from behind and she turned to see who and saw the stern looking professor who did the sorting ceremony.

"I am Professor Minerva Macgonall head of Griffindor House and your Transfiguration teacher as well.....Miss Adams this is your schedule for the year"she said handing her a paper which Severia took and then flashed a bright smile at the Professor to which she just got a small one in return and then the professor left towards the teacher's table.
