"Yo, Luce, c'mere for a sec will ya?" I asked her the second she walked in. "You need something?" Lucy asked sweetly as she sat next to me at the bar. I nodded and took a glance towards Gray. "So, Juvia told me something about her liking Gray a-" Mira interrupted me by jumping up and down, screaming "Gruvia" joyfully. "Uh, anyways, he said that she thinks Gray is her soulmate. Please don't laugh at me when I say this but, you see Lucy, I don't exactly know what a soulmate is..." I glanced back towards the fangirling Mira, who was now turned around with a dark aura around her that made me shiver slightly. Lucy started to mumble something I couldn't quite catch, which is surprising if you consider my dragon-like hearing. "Hm?" I turned back towards her. "How do I put this?" Lucy asked herself. After about 5 minutes of waiting, she finally started speaking again. "A soulmate is, uh... Well, it's like a best friend but more... It's the one person in the world who knows you better than anyone else. That someone who makes you a better person. No, actually they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself because they inspire you. A soulmate is someone you carry with you forever. It's one person who...who knew you, accepted you and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would. And no matter what happens, you'll always love them and nothing could ever change that." A best friend, but more...? "So like a partner?" I asked, she nodded with a bright smile on her face. Wait. Aren't we partners? Does that make us soulmates? Does that explain why my heart beats faster around her, and why I always lose my words? Could I possibly love Lucy? No we're just nakama. Nothing more, nothing less. Right?

Wrong.

Okay. Alright. Calm down Natsu you got this, it's all good. I was in front of my partner's house. Why? Well... I've been feeling so weird around her lately, and it's getting hard to be around her without stuttering and sweating like h-e-double hockey sticks. I thought taking a long run would help, but it just made me super dizzy because I only thought about her and what she said about soulmates. Once I trudged wearily up the stairs to her apartment, I could barely even knock on the door my head was spinning so fast.

Then I blacked out.

When I slowly opened my eyes a familiar scent filled my nostrils. Lucy. I unconsciously stood up and followed the wonderful smell of vanilla to the kitchen.

Without noticing, I had encircled my arms around Lucy's waist from behind as I set my chin on her shoulder. "N-Natsu what are y-" Lucy started, but I squeezed her tightly. "I... I need this right now..." She let out a soft sigh and continued chopping, the calming sound of a blade hitting a board filled my ears. It's so peaceful around her. "Is your head hurting?" She asked quietly. I nodded, burying my face deeper into her neck. Man, she smells so good. "Go sit on the couch. I'll join you in a second." Lucy commanded, twisting out of my tight grip. Just as I was about to start whining, she turned me around and shoved me into the couch.

I just laid, face-down, on the soft piece of furniture that smelled so much like Lucy. Did I mention she smells good? Yes? Oh well, you can't stop me from saying it. "Who smells good?" A soft voice asked, making me jump in surprise. "U-Uh... Yo- Happy. Happy smells so nice." I stuttered with a crooked grin. Lucy gave me a confused look, but sat down next to me anyways. "C'mon lay down." She said with a smile, patting her leg so I'd know where to put my head. I hesitated at first as I gently settled myself down. Lucy let out a long sigh and started stroking my salmon hair. We sat in the most comfortable silence ever. Oh, Luce, I wish you knew how much I love you... She suddenly stopped stroking. Please don't tell me she heard that. Oh my Mavis. Oh. My. Mavis. "Natsu..." She began. "I almost forgot the sandwiches!" Lucy continued with a giggle. I chuckled nervously along with her, thanking Mavis that she didn't hear me. "Be right back!" She sang as she bolted into the kitchen. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Lucy came back with a huge smile on her face and handed me a sandwich. "Why are you smiling like that?" I asked curiously, quickly gulping down the perfect food. She sat down right next to me, and I mean literally right next to me. Then, she kissed me, I was shocked at first, but slowly melted into it. Wow. She even tastes like vanilla. I Hesitantly licked her bottom lip, asking for entry, which she gladly accepted. Once we were done having our little "oral WWIII," we separated and I could feel my cheeks burning. "I love you too, Natsu." Lucy sighed happily. Hm. So she did hear me. "Guess this means we're soulmates huh Luce?" I asked her with my signature smile, which she returned. "I guess it does Natsu."

Okie dokie den hope u liked et (^-^)
