~ Six Months Later ~
"I'm sorry Ace, but my mum say's I have to go"
He groan's, "But why?"
I shrugged, "I don't know, probably to make sure Sophie doesn't get into trouble"
"Don't have too much fun without me" he pout's.
"Trust me, I won't, it's my grandparent's house, there's nothing there besides forest, garden's and old news’s papers, I doubt I’ll have any fun"
He chuckles "Well, good luck then" I nodded.
"I need it" we hugged and I waved to him and walked out of the forest and went home. I arrived home and took my shoes off, so I didn't leave a trail of mud behind me as I walked through the house. I walked down the hall to find my sister dressing up her pet bunny in a top hat.
"You do realize, that could classify as animal cruelty" I mused.
She looks up and pout's "No it isn't, he likes it!" the bunny looked up at me and twitched his nose, then his ear's, as if agreeing... or crying out for help. Poor bunny.
"What's his name?"
"Mr. Fluffy"
I nodded, "Alice, Sophie, get ready in the dresses I’ve laid on your bed, shower and make yourself presentable for your grand parent's!"
Sophie and I groaned, and we both looked at each other and pulled a face. I turned and walked into my room, and saw the dress "Mum, I don't want to wear it" I whined.
"Just put it on, and it will be over soon!" she yelled from her room.
I looked at the blue dress in distaste; first, I hate the colour blue. Second, I hate dresses. Not a good combo.
I sighed and took a shower, then put the dress on. I looked in my mirror and I frowned in distaste, "Hurry up Alice!"
I sighed and picked up my pair of ballet flat's and walked out of the house and got into the car. I looked next to me to see Sophie and her rabbit- Mr. Fluffy.
"Make sure you hold onto him, he might run off" I warned her. Or grandmother might make a soup out of him. I added to myself.
She nod's and mother start's to drive to my grandparent’s house. Just let me be able to not cringe and wither under their harsh scrutiny.

"Marrissa! My dear!" I watched as my mother hugged her mother, and Sophie pouted and tugged at her dress.
"It's scratchy"
I chuckled, "It's not going to be on long, we'll stay for a few hours, tops, and then we'll leave. Come on sun shine" I say and help her out of the car.
"Sophie, Alice" my grandmother nodded at us.
"Hello grandmother" my little sister and I say in perfect sync.
She nod's, before taking mother into the house. My grandfather sat at the window, staring at nothing, exactly as I remember him. Always staring into the forest.
I slowly held Sophie's hand and we walked into the house, ready to be frowned upon our imperfections.

I sat in my grandfather’s study; he was silent, and looking out of the window. It was just as the sun was sinking and I picked up a leather bound book, Wonderland.
