Downhearted (COMPLETE)

Part 9: Mario

(This is told from Mario's POV)

I am obviously not rich like most people in my town, and because of that my family has put this pressure on my to become rich when I'm older. My mom had died giving birth to me, so it was always just me and my dad, well actually mostly just me, dad always has to work, so I mostly took care of myself. But because I was poor in a wealthy city, I didn't have a lot of friends and got bullied quite often, because of my not great life, I have suffered from a lot of mental health problems. I never really felt like I belonged anywhere, I wasn't rich like everyone else, I just thought I was better off died because no one would even care.

I had to move school's a lot because of bully, usually I didn't let anyone say anything and if they did I would fight them, which gave me a pretty bad reputation and I got kicked out of schools a lot.

There was one person that was always there for me, her name was Serafina, she had short red hair and was not very girly. She was different then everyone else, she knew what I was going through because it's happening to her too. I had a crush on Serafina for so long, there was just something about her.

One day, we were at school and there was a new kid, everyone was talking about it. Then I saw him, he was a obviously a rich kid, and he looked like he was obviously full of himself. He walked up to us, well he walked up to Serafina, and let's just make a long story short, Serafina ended up dating him and we had stopped being friends because I had told her I liked her. I think they broke up now, I still hope one day can see Serafina again tho.

A few months later, I had moved schools again, I walked into the school, everyone was just like every other school, except when I saw one girl that really stuck out, she looked so much like her, then I realized who she was, that was Elisabetta Bianichi daughter, Cathalina, she's literally crazy rich! She had long red hair and was dressed as the stereotypical preppy girl. I thought about everything in my life, maybe if I started dating a rich girl dad would be happy for me and if I marry a rich girl I would be rich and living a way better life then now!

So I walked up to her and pretended to accidentally bump into her, then we ran to my house and hung out, I actually felt so happy at that moment, like I really belonged.

Then a couple of months had passed and I asked her out, and she actually said yes! I was so excited, then I actually thought, do I really have feelings for Cathalina? Because I thought I did, but...of course I do, what am I even thinking?!
