It was a few days before my 18th birthday, I kind of had mix feelings about it.

I was walking to school with Antonio, I kind of had that feeling that I- mmm... I can't even think about it. I still haven't broken up with Mario, but I was planning to do it when I see him at school. Antonio and Aurora are still together, but I've noticed there slowly falling more and more out of love. Maybe that's why mother always told me that, because you'll just end up falling out of love.

I woke up with a gross feeling, 18 is so many years, Antonio rushed through the door, "happy birthday!" He said happily, I sat up and chuckled a bit "thanks Antonio" I smiled.

It was a few hours later and I was getting ready for my party, I curled my hair and put it in a high ponytail, I was wearing a black dress.

I walked downstairs, everyone was already arriving, I saw Mario he walked in with a girl, she had short red hair and green eyes, she kind of looked like me, her eyes and hair color was similar to mine. He walked up to me, "Cathy there's someone I want you to meet" he said, "this is Serafina" he said, "hi I'm Cathalina nice to meet you" I said as I shook her hand "hi Cathalina, happy birthday" she said happily, "thank you" I said, "so princess how does it feel to be 18" Mario said, "it's weird I feel old" I chuckled a bit, "well why don't we get this party started!" Mario said happily.

The party was pretty fun, I had my first drink and I mostly just hanged out with Antonio the whole time. I felt kind of bad though, I think Mario is in love with that girl, the way he looks at her, he never looked at me that way, I mean I was gonna break up with him but I still felt bad.

I went up to Mario, "hey Mario, can I talk to you?" I asked, "sure" he replied and we walked in my room. I walked in, "so how long have you had a crush on her?" I asked "what are you talking about?" Mario replied, "come on don't play dumb!" I said getting angry, "who are you talking about?!" He said, "Serafina, I see the way you look at her!" I yelled, "well what about you and Antonio!" Mario yelled, "there's nothing going on between me and Antonio!" I said "well you obviously like him!" He said, "why did you even date me if you liked someone else!" I yelled, Mario didn't say anything, "and all that sh*t you talk about me on the internet!" I yelled "all you do is make me sad, I never even feel happy with you anymore!" I said tears starting to fill my eyes, "I can't even believe I fell for you, you were my everything, you were my first love! And for what?!" I yelled "I was just using you for money!" Mario yelled, my eyes widened, did I hear that right? "I'm sorry Cathy, it's just you look so much like her" Mario said, "and I just thought you being rich would be a huge perk" he said, "get out of my house" I mumbled, "what?" Mario said, "GET OUT I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" I yelled.

As I slammed the door, I fell to the floor, I've always been used for money in everything, I started to sob, I didn't even want to go downstairs.

A few minutes later I heard a thud, I quickly ran downstairs to see all the commotion. Antonio and Mario were fighting?! I ran downstairs, "what are you guys doing?!" I said, they both just stayed silent, I grabbed Antonio's hand and ran upstairs.

We ran in my room, Antonio sat on my bed and I went to get the first aid kit, he had a pretty bad black eye and a nose bleed, "what even happened?" I asked, Antonio didn't say anything, I handed him a paper towel for his nose, I then rested my head on his shoulder, "are you even going to talk to me?" I asked, Antonio sighed, "Mario was just talking sh*t, that's all he knows how to do" he said,"I broke up with him" I said "really?" Antonio asked, "yeah I'm just glad I finally got it over with and broke up with him" I said, "he was only using me anyways" I said, "I should have just listened to you" "well I'm probably gonna get back to the party" Antonio said, "oh ok I'll meet you down there in a bit" I said, then he walked out of the room.

Then I got a text, it was a video from Aurora, I clicked on it, it was at the party, it was just of people dancing and I was about to click off when the camera flipped to show Mario, "what happened Mario there was a bunch of screaming up there?" Someone asked "oh I broke up with Cathalina" he said "it's fine though I was just using her for money, but dang is that girl a hottie" he said, then Antonio ran up to him and punched him, "what the hell!" Mario said, "you asshole!" Antonio said, then Mario punched him back, "you piece of sh*t!" Antonio said, "you don't even know anything about her! You just dating her because she looks like Serafina!" Antonio said, "get out of my house you motherf***er" Antonio said, then the video ended.

I couldn't even say anything, why didn't he tell me, it was kind of sweet for him to stay up for me though. I wasn't gonna say anything about it, I just went back to the party.

A few hours later

I had ended up getting a little tipsy, everyone had gone home and it was about 2 am. Antonio was straight up drunk and was sitting with me in the living room, "well Antonio we should probably go to bed" I said, "I wanna stay with you" he replied, "I know but it's really late" I said, I got up and walked Antonio upstairs to his room, "come on get into bed" I said, "good night Antonio" I said and was about to walk out, "Cathy you know I love you" Antonio said, I was shocked, but then I remembered he was drunk, "as a friend right?" I asked as I turned to look at him, "no" he said "like I used to love Aurora" I walked over to his bed, "Antonio are you gonna remember this night?" I asked "mhm yeah" he said, and I did something incredibly bold and weird, I kissed Antonio! I realized what I just did, "I'm sorry" I said, "I shouldn't hav-" I said but then Antonio kissed me again! "I like kissing you" he said, my cheeks went so red, "well I should probably go to bed now, it's super late" I said and ran out.

As I got into bed, I heard a voice in my head, you deserved to get used, it said, that's all you'll ever be known for, being rich and used for money, why did you even kiss Antonio? Your best friend? He'll just end up using you too. I just tried to ignore it and go to sleep.
