Downhearted (COMPLETE)

Part 19

I couldn't believe I was actually here in America! It was the next morning and I was getting ready. Then Antonio came in, his eyes sleepy and his hair wild. "Good morning" he said in a sleepy voice, "well you sound really tired" I said, "yeah I slept amazing in my house" he said, I giggled a bit. "So where are you going" Antonio said, "I wanna go somewhere cool, you know get to know the area before university starts" I replied.

We walked outside, the street had so many people, it's was so amazing though! "So where do you wanna go to eat?" I asked "ok I know we're in America but I really want Italian food" he replied, I chuckled a bit "honestly same" I said. Then I looked around and went up to a group of girls who looked around our age, "um excuse me, but do you know Italian restaurant?" I asked in English and don't think I said it quite right, "well there's an Olive Garden down the block" one of the girls replied, "thank you" I said, but when I walked away I heard behind me "do you know Italian restaurant' like what the heck she sounded like she didn't speak English or something" she said mocking me, it made me kind of sad but it's fine, it was just some random girls on the street.

When we got there the waitress sat us at a table, "so what can I start you off to drink?" She said, "um can I have a bottle of red wine?" Antonio asked, "for sure can I see your guys Id?" She asked and I handed mine to her and Antonio handed her his. She paused for a minute, "um these say that you're 18 and 19" she said, "and I can see that it says your from Italy" she said, "yes that is correct" I said, "well the drink age here in America is 21" she said in a kind of arrogant tone, "ok you don't have be rude" I said, "sure why don't I get you guys some water" she said, "what a jerk" I said, "hey it's ok Cathy" Antonio said and touched my hand and I smiled.

The rest of the day wasn't bad, we saw a lot of cool stuff, like the wall art, the museum, and water park place. It was so much fun!
