April 10th 2009
It was 4 years later and I just graduated university. It was about 6pm and I was on the phone with Lucia, "I can't believe you're really coming here!" I said excited, "how long are you staying?" "Well I was going to tell you later, but me and Carlo are going to move there!" She said happily, I screamed happily, "omg really!?" I asked, "yes!" Lucia said.
A little while later there was a knock at the door, I ran to the door and opened it, "ahhh!" I squealed, and me and Lucia hugged, "come on not a hug for your big brother?" Carlo said, I chuckled a bit, "of course i didn't forget about you big brother!" I said and hugged Carlo. "Antonio should be home soon, he's still at work" I said, "oh where does he work?" Lucia asked, "he works at an office job" I replied.
A few minutes later Antonio came home, we were all in the living room just talking and catching up with each other, "Antonio!" I said and gave him a hug, "hey" he said, "so now that you are both here me and Carlo have a very important thing to tell you guys!" Lucia said excitedly, me and Antonio sat back on the couch, "ok, me and Carlo are getting married!" Lucia said happily, "ahhh!" I squealed, "that's amazing!" I said, "yeah that's really cool" Antonio said, "we're getting married in 3 months" Carlo said, "that's so cool!" I said.
Later that night, we were getting ready for bed. Lucia and Carlo were staying in the living room and me and Antonio were in our room. I noticed that Antonio looked kind of upset, "hey are you ok?" I asked, "yeah I'm fine" he replied, "I obviously know that you're not" I said as I sat next to him on the bed, "I-I just Lucia and Carlo are already getting married! And we've barley kissed!" He said, "we both said that we wanted to act more like a couple but nothing has changed" he said, I grabbed his hand, "I'm sorry" I said, "I just-" I sighed "I just feel awkward trying to express my feelings, I love you so much but I just don't know how to show it" I said, "well maybe we can show each other how much we love each other right now" he said and he both leaned in and kissed.
The next morning was kind of awkward, we were all eating breakfast and I couldn't even look Antonio in the eye, I was too embarrassed, of what we did. "So did you guys do anything interesting last night?" Lucia asked, "w-what n-n-no w-why do you ask?" I said with my face extremely red, "well because you guys have been avoiding eye contact and both of your faces are super red" Lucia replied, then there was awkward silence, "did you guys have sex?" She asked, "Lucia!" Carlo said, "what?" She asked, "y-you can't just- Cathy would never do that, that's not the little sister I know!" Carlo said, me and Antonio looked at each other with our faces extremely red, Carlo gasped dramatically, "YOU DID!" He said, we didn't say anything, "I-I can't believe you!" Carlo said, "s-stop it's no big deal" I said looking down, Carlo did that dramatic gasp again, "NO BIG DEAL!" He said, "you've probably done it so many times with Lucia" I said. Then, Carlo went quiet, his face was red and he was looking down.
July 14th 2009
It was Lucia and Carlo's wedding day, Antonio was gonna help Carlo get ready and I was with Lucia. "So how do you feel about getting married?" I asked, "old" Lucia replied, "but also happy because I'm marrying the love of my life, my sunshine, my Prince Charming, my-" "ok I get it" I interrupted, "sorry I'm just really excited" Lucia chuckled.
The ceremony was so beautiful, it was in a pretty big church, and there was lots of guests, I was standing next to Lucia as I was the maid of honor. "The bride and groom have written their own vows" the married officiant said, "Carlo, you are my best friends brother and at first the thought of marrying you disgusted me" Lucia said and everyone laughed, "but now on Antonio's 19th birthday, when I was really drunk, we played truth or dare and Cathy dared us to date" she added, "I was just gonna break up with you in like 2 day" everyone laughed again, "but then I fell in love with you, I love you so much, Carlo" Lucia finally finished. "Lucia when I met you the first thing I thought was, gross" Carlo said and everyone laughed, "I started to fall in love with you when I was about 19, and ever since then you have been my whole world" he finished, and Lucia made a disgusted face and everyone started to laugh again. "By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride" the marriage officiant finally said, I wiped a tear before it fell, I couldn't help it, my best friend was now married to my brother.
The party was so fun, of course we got drunk and dance a lot. It was so fun! I met a lot of Lucia's family and met a lot of mine.
After everyone was going home, me and Antonio were sitting at a table. Then Lucia walked up to us, "hey guys!" She said, "heyyy" I said really drunk, "so did you guys have fun?" She asked, "yeah it was really fun!" Antonio replied, "good I'm glad" Lucia said, "I can't wait for your wedding!" She said excitedly and then walked away.
It was about 2am everyone had gone home and me and Antonio were walking to our car. It was a really hot, summer night, but it was also nice at the same time.
