The Best Year!

Chapter 11

I woke up in a great mood and got ready for school. I know that today would be the day I told Jo my answer. As soon as I got to school I started looking for him. I saw him with his ex-girlfriend Samoan. They were a little to close and I stopped walking right there.

Sara asked "Is everything OK?"

"Look at who's with Jo." I told her

"Come on. We need to go to the bathroom now. I'm texting the girls."

"Ok let's go." We all meet in the girls bathroom and Sara told them what happened. "I just don't know why he would do that." I told them

"Maybe he's just talking to her." Ashley said

"You didn't see the note. None of you did so you don't under stand." I told them all

"Your right we haven't read then note so why don't you let us?" Sara asked

"Fine here." I pulled the note out of my purse and handed it to Sara "and before you say anything I brought to with me because I didn't want my mom to find it." 

They all read the note and started to under stand. After they went on about how cute the note was. They gave me back then note and the bell rang. We had to get to first block; so Nevaeh and I headed off to science. I didn't talk to Jo in any of my class and he didn't even try to talk to me.  We didn't even walk together in the halls like we always do. By lunch time I wasn't hunger so I went to the gym and sat on the top bleacher. I guess Jo wasn't hunger either because he walked into the gym just a little bit after I sat down. He looked up at me and gave me a half smile. I walked down to him because it was time to give him my answer.

"Hey." Jo said "How are you doing Rose?"

"Not that great and I just wanted to tell you it's not working out."

"Is that your answer Rose?" Jo asked

"Yes it's a no because I know how you are now." I walked away from him

"What are you talking about?" Jo asked 

I turned around to him "Don't act like you don't know."

Just then Samoan walked in. "O sorry do you just want me to leave?" she asked

"Yes." I said

"No." Jo said "its fine"

"You know Jo your right because I'm leaving." I just walked out of the gym and went I know he couldn't see me I ran to the  locker room. I texted Sara "911 locker room now" a little bit later Sara walked in.

"What happen?" she asked

"It's Samoan. She going after Jo again and I told Jo it wasn't going to work."

"Why would you do that?" Sara asked

"Because I want him to be hurt like I am."

"Ya but your still hurt and if you were with him you wouldn't be."

"No I would be blinded by him. I realized he's like every other guy out there and I really thought he was different."

"That doesn't mean your not hurt Rose."

"I going to be hurt no matter what. It was now or later so why wait."

The rest of the day was a blur to me. I didn't care what was going on around me. I just walked around to my classes like  I always do and tried to ask like it was nothing but I no I didn't do a good job at that. I just hope Jo couldn't tell that I felt like my life was over.
