The Best Year!

Chapter 16

The exams where over and summer was starting. Every year mine and Jo's family go to the beach. This year Sara's family is going to. We're all getting two beach houses right beside each other. Mine family and Sara's family are going to share one and we're bring Hannah with us. Sara and I had to pick one friend and because Jo was bring Matt and Ryan we picked Hannah. Jo's family is going to have there own house but it's a little smaller and Jo is bring two friends. I couldn't wait to leave for the beach next week. Sara, Hannah, and I are going to the mall today to get some cute clothes for the beach. I called Jo to see if he's gotten everything he needs.

Jo answers,"Hey babe."

"Hey so did you get everything you need?"

"No I'm going to go tomorrow mother." Jo said sarcastically

"OK don't forget anything because you always do."

"I won't. When are you going shopping?"

"Today, Sara and Hannah are going with me."

"You know just call me if you need any help picking something out. I'll be happy to go to the mall and help you. Even if a zipper get stuck or something. I can help you." Jo said joking

"I'm sure you would but your not. Well I've got to go."

"OK love you bye."

"Love you bye." I told him and hang up the phone.

I relived that's the first time I told him that I loved him. He said it to me more then once but that's the first time I said it. I kinda felt bad for not saying it the day at school but he did really give me a chance to say anything. I went over to Sara's house and we all left for the mall. I got two new bathing suits, twelve new colored shorts, and at lest fifteen new shirt and tang tops. In the short I got pink, purple, blue, orange, yellow, green, black, white, gray, red, blue jean, and tan. Most of my shirt are white with colors on them so they will look cute with the colored shorts. I also got every color of flip flops I could find. I only get the soled color flip flops so I can match them with my clothes. That makes me sound really preppy but it's true. I have to match. That's why I got five pairs of sandals to go with my five dresses I got. It sounds like a lot but I save my alliance all year and anytime I would baby sit I would save my money. I spent all of my money so it's not like I depend on my parents. That's only at the beach and when all my money's gone. When I got home I started packing. I was almost done when my phone went off.

It was Jo so I answered,"Hey what's up."

"Don't take this the wrong way but what are you waring?"

"What I wore to the mall. Jean shorts and a tee shirt. Why?" I asked really puzzled

"Because."

Just then I heard a knock at my bedroom door.

I told Jo,"Hold on. Someone's at my door."

When I opened the for it was Jo. He hang up the phone and said,"We're going out."

I hugged him and we left. Jo had already talked to my mom about it and everything. I had no idea where we were going but I didn't care. It was somewhere that we could walk to because we can't drive by yourself and he started walking down the sidewalk. I kept asking what are we doing and where are we going. He wouldn't answer me; then we got to the park. 

"We're going to the park?" I asked trying not to sound disappointed but I really wasn't disappointed. I just was thinking of something a little more romantic for are first date. Jo looked at me and smiled.

He told me,"Not just the park. Fallow me."

We walked back to the woods then it hit me. My dream with the picnic but Jo doesn't know about it. I only told Sara and the girls. When I saw the candles burning, I know it was going to be a picnic. I just don't know how Jo knew.

I turned to Jo and asked,"How did you know about this?"

He just smiled at me and said,"I just hope we can finish it." he leaned over and kissed me then said,"Looks like is not a dream. To bad for you because I'm not a great cook."

I smiled at him and said,"Well are you sure it's not a dream because I have you."

"That's so what I was going to say to you next." Jo said laughing. I just rolled me eyes at him. Then we sat down and started talking about everything.
