The Best Year!

Chapter 10

I run down to get the door. It was Sara this time. I grabbed her hand and run up to my room. As soon as I got to my room I told her what happen at the field. Sara freaked out and the I pulled out the note. 

Sara said "Read it!"

"No I think I should just thought it away." I told her

"Do you like him?"

"Ya...but I'm mad at him."

"So just read it and why are you mad at him anyway he just kissed you. You act like you two have never kissed."

"Ya but he took my chose away right then."

"How did he take your chose away?"Sara asked me

"When he kissed me anyone could have seen it and then it roomers would start."

"So you don't have to say they are true."

"Ya but that will be the second time this year that people would be say we're going out and you know either my mom or his mom would hear about it." I told her

"Ya I guess your right but don't thought the note away."

"OK but I'm not going to read it. I will just put it in my lock box."

"What all do you have in your lock box anymore?"

"I don't know but you know what we should do tonight."

"Have a lock box sleep over?"

"Yep I'll go ask my mom now if I can have a sleep over." I ran downstairs and asked my mom if I could have a sleep over. She told me no but I told her it was a lock box sleep over. She said OK because she was the one that helped up make up the lock boxes. It's just a box that has a lock on it and all of my best friends have one. We put every thing that's important to us in it. About every year we have a lock box sleep over and go thought them to see what all we've been thought together. I ran back upstairs and told Sara to start texting all the girls. We texted Hannah, Nevaeh, Ashley, Emma, and Bell.  We started things around six o'clock after everyone got to my house. My mom ordered pizza and went to the store for chips, pop, and some junk food.

We all started talking and decided Emma would go first because she went last the last time. Emma opened up the box and Ashley asked "What's in it?"

Emma told Ashley "Just so pictures, an old Barbie, and a necklace that was me grandmas."

We all went thought the pictures. Nevaeh found a picture of all of us at Emma's 6th birthday party. That's went we all started to become really good friends. Emma had to invite all the girls in are grade to her party and we all ended up hanging out. We were on her deck and everyone else was in the pool. I remember it as a really good day for everyone. Next to go was Bell.

I asked "So what's in your lock box?"

She answered "Some old drawings, my favorite ring, and some pictures."

We ended up finding a picture of us all at the beach one year; back when we were 10 years old. It was all of us girls in are little bathing suits and sun glasses. We probably thought we were so cool back then. I know it's only been 5 years but it feels like longer then that. Now it was Ashley's turn to go.

Sara asked "So what do you have?"

"Well I have some old photos, some metals for sports, and my great grandmas locket." Ashley told us

We looked at her metals and photos. Most of her photos were for sporting events. There was basketball, baseball or softball, soccer, track, and some gymnastics. We were there to seaport her in ever game or meet. Next was Sara's box.

"So what's in it?" I asked Sara

She told me "My first pair of dance shoes from when I was 3, some pictures, and old notes from Matt."

"Oowww Love notes." I said

"Ya and know one gets to read them" Sara told us

"OK OK lets just move on to Hannah then." I told Sara

Sara asked "So what's in your box Hannah?"

Hannah said "My black belt, first pair of shoes ever, and some old pictures."

When we went through the pictures we found one of Hannah and Ryan together. They are so cute together. We all bugged her about the photo and then moved on to Nevaeh's box.

Bell asked "What's in your box?"

"Some old photos, my fist nucleus ever, and a DVD of us on are first Halloween together." Nevaeh told us "lets watch the DVD."

I said Sara told me "After you go with your box Rose."

"OK I have some old photos, a bracelet from my grandparent, and an old, stupid, note." I told everyone

Sara said "It's not an old, stupid, note. It's a note from Jo that she got today."

"Read it." Hannah said

"No I'm not reading it. I didn't even read because I wanted to, I'm not going to read it to everyone." I told everyone

"Then just read it to yourself." Sara told me

"Ya Rose read it." said Emma

Ashley asked "Are you still mad at him?"

"How did you know I was mad at him?" I asked her

"They way you left the track meet and he tried to stop you but you didn't care."

"See he cares he went after you but you don't care do you?" Sara asked

"OK I'll read it if you all stop talking." I finally said I opened up the note and started to read it.

"Rose I'm sorry for whatever I did wrong. I'm not really sure what happened but I'm sorry anyways. Whatever it was it's worth saying sorry for if it keeps me from losing you. I just don't want anything to go wrong with us. I'm still giving you the two weeks. I just hope you haven't made up your mind. I also want you to know that I really do care about you and always will. I hope you know I would never hurt you. Your more then a friend and I love you.  Joe ;)"

I folded up the note and put it in my pocket. I then got up and ran over to Jo's house. His mom answered the door.

"Is Jo home!" I asked

"No he went out but can I help you?" she asked

"No I just needed some notes but it's not a big deal." I told her I went back to my house and told the girls what happen.

"So are you going to go out with Jo?" Sara asked

"The next time I see him I'm going to tell him my answer." I told everyone.
