~ Days Later ~

"So your mom moved away with Hongseok and Seongyoon?" Yeosang asks Hongjoong.

"Yeah, they're safe now." Hongjoong nods. "I didn't tell her everything he did. I knew she wouldn't leave me here."

"But how did she take Seongyoon? Isn't that like... illegal?"

"Well no because Seonghwa's stepmom, who happens to be Seongyoon's birth mom found out how terrible Mr. Park was treating her son... And so she also moved away with them."

"Are you sure she's not on Mr. Park's side?" Yeosang asks him, worriedly.

"There's no way." Hongjoong shakes his head. "She'd have to be the worst mom in the world. Do you see how Mr. Park was treating her son?"

"Yeah, I guess." Yeosang nods. "By the way, how are you and Seonghwa?"

"Good. Mr. Park seems quiet lately. A little too quiet." He sighs. "I'm scared he'll do something."

"More than what he's done already?" Yeosang looks down.

"So are you staying over to eat? The food's almost ready." Hongjoong changes the subject.

"Oh, I have plans with San already." He lies and reaches for the knife as Hongjoong's back is turned towards him.

"Oh, okay." Hongjoong just nods.

"I'll get going, okay?" Yeosang hides the knife in his pocket and walks out of Hongjoong's house.

He hears his phone ringing in his pocket and sees San is calling him. "Sorry, San." Yeosang declines the call and turns his phone off.

Since Yeosang doesn't answer him, San ends up calling Hongjoong. Yeosang had told him he was going to go over to his house and have a sleepover.

"Hey, San." Hongjoong answers.

"Hey, is Yeosang with you?"

"No, he just left. He said he had plans with you. Aren't you with him?"

"N-no. He's not answering his phone."

"Wait, didn't I leave a knife here?" Hongjoong mumbles to himself as he notices it's not there. "San! Yeosang took a knife!"

San ends up dropping his phone and runs towards where he knows Yeosang must be.

-

Yeosang knows Mr. Park has bodyguards everywhere and knows it'd be almost impossible to get in that house. But still, it's worth a try. He needs to find evidence. Evidence that will get him locked up.

He'll make sure to make him pay for what he did to his father and for putting the blame on Mingi.

To his surprise, the door is opened when he gets to the house. So he just walks in, slowly taking the knife out of his pocket just in case he needs to defend himself. He looks around and sees there's no bodyguards around. As he's about to slowly open the door to Mr. Park's office, he ends up being pulled away by someone as they cover his mouth.

Once they're outside, Yeosang sees it's San and tries hiding the knife, but it's too late. He already saw it. San takes his hand and pulls him away from the house.

"Yeo, what were you doing?" San asks him as Yeosang feels his eyes watering.

"I wasn't planning on killing him... if that's what you're asking. I just wanted to get evidence. I need to make him pay for what he did."

San pulls him in for a hug and feels his eyes watering as he sees the pain in Yeosang's eyes. "You could've gotten hurt." He tells him. "Please don't do this ever again. I don't know what I'd do without you."

-

"Yeah, Yeosang put himself at risk." Hongjoong sighs. "I didn't think he'd try anything like this, especially by himself. He could've gotten hurt."

"I'm glad San found him on time." Seonghwa tells him.

"But what's weird is that they said no one was in the house. No bodyguards, which means Mr. Park wasn't home."

"Really?" Seonghwa asks him. He had overheard he was going on a business trip, but wasn't sure when exactly it would be. "Are you staying over?" He asks Hongjoong since he'd be alone at his house now that his mom and brother moved away.

"I don't know... should I?" He asks and thinks for a while. "Okay." He nods. It's better if he's with Seonghwa most of the time. Now that he knows what Yeosang wanted to do, he's afraid Seonghwa will try doing something by himself again.

-

And he was right... because when he was 'asleep' he ended up hearing Seonghwa slowly get up from the bed and walk out of the room. Hongjoong slowly opens his eyes to check the time and sees it's 4 in the morning.

He knew this couldn't be good. Especially when he heard the outside door open. Hongjoong quickly gets up and quickly changes his clothes before rushing out of the house to follow Seonghwa.

Going somewhere at this time can't be good. Luckily for him, there are still taxis going around at this time so he quickly gets on one and tells him to follow Seonghwa's car.

And just like he thought... Seonghwa parked his car a few houses down from Mr. Park's house and started walking towards it.
