I woke up to my maids gently opening the lavender curtains, allowing sunlight to blaze through the windows and onto my bed. I sat up and yawned, stretching my arms.

"Did you sleep well, miss?" Nia asked.

"Oh yes." I replied. "My bed is so cozy. I have no clue how I'll get out."

All my maids giggled. "Would you like to see your day dresses so you can pick one out?" Jade asked, walking towards my massive closet.

"Sure," I said. I skimmed along the many colors, there were pinks, greens, blues, yellows, whites, blacks, purples, and pretty in between colors. I finally settled on a lavender dress with a sweetheart neckline. The skirt of the dress was shorter in the front and longer in the back.

Esme prepped the bath for me as Jade draped the dress along the chair. I undressed and hopped into the bath, appreciating the warm water. They bathed me and we chatted. "I must ask," I said. "What is your favorite color?"

My maids giggled again. "I like dark green." Said Jade. "Mainly for my namesake."

"I like periwinkle." Nia said. "Calm, but pretty."

"Hmmmm," Esme thought out loud. "Cranberry, very elegant."

"Now you, what's your favorite color?" Nia said.

"Undeniably bubblegum pink." I responded.

Once my bath was done, I put on undergarments, and my maids slathered on lotion that smelled good. Nia dried my hair and began to pull it into Dutch braids. Jade used scrubs and serums for my arms and legs, and Esme skillfully worked on my face.

"Esme, please tell me how you do makeup. It's so impressive." I said.

Esme blushed, which made me assume that compliments were scarce for her.

"First, I put on a cleanser." She cleansed my face with something from a beautiful glass bottle. "Then lotion, it moisturizes your skin." She smoothed soft, good smelling lotion. "Now for makeup. I start with foundation, which gives a nice base. Then contour, to add a glow." She did what she was explaining for every step. "Now eye shadow. A nice natural shade for you. Then mascara adds volume to your eyelashes." She reached for another pallet, but the inside was rosy pink. "Blush colors your cheeks. And now, we add lipstick to add color to your lips, and lip gloss to make them look glossy." And just like that, Esme worked magic.

"Wow," I said, admiring her talent.

"Miss, we have an idea for you." Nia piped up. "So since you were a Seven, we are assuming you aren't used to heels." I nodded. "So, your heels will get taller a little bit every day. Soon, you will be able to walk with any shoes on!"

"This is simple, but genius!" I said. "Thank you."

My maids nodded and helped me into my dress. They added a silver-plated necklace and matching bracelet, then dangle diamond earrings. My shoes were a tiny bit taller than the kitten heels, but the heel was chunky. The straps were pale leather and it was surprisingly comfortable. Nia added a silver barret to my hair and the look was complete.

"This is perfect." I said, admiring the outfit in a mirror."

"There's no way Prince Carter won't fall for you!" Jade exclaimed, which made us all giggle.

"No, but for real." Said Esme. "He'd be a fool not to turn you down."

I gave her a smile. It wasn't everyday I was told that the prince was sure to fall for me. I remembered my weakness, my caste. The stupid seven that was like a parasite to my reputation. I was three now, wasn't I? So why should that matter?
