My first reaction was an exasperated sigh. "Go, Aria!" Daniel yelled, pushing in me to the direction of the safe room.
Of course, the guests had no clue what was happening. A slew of guards appeared, screaming, "Rebels! Follow us to the safe room!" Everyone was frantic.
I noticed Millie paralyzed with fear. I rushed to her, telling her that she had to move and pushing her. Finally, she started to run after the guards.
We arrived in the safe room with all of the royals, and luckily, all of the Selected and guests. Mara was still talking to Carson, and they were in a corner of the room. I sat down with Selena and Millie, mostly annoyed at the situation.
"How are you so calm?" Millie asked.
"This is the third time we've been attacked." I explained. "I'm still nervous, but really annoyed at all of this."
Millie nodded. "Thank you, for helping me. I was so scared."
"You're welcome. I never thought I'd save a celebrity from rebels one day."
Millie giggled. "So," Selena piped up. "Millie, I love your songs! I used to be a Five, and I danced to one of them. It was so fun."
"That's cool!" Millie said. I left them to talk about dancing and songs until I drifted off to sleep, listening to the murmuring of people all around.
The next morning, some guards arrived at the safe room and said that it was safe to leave. I felt well-rested, and headed off to my room. I made sure to say good-bye to Millie and Carson.
While eating a delicous tart, there was a knock at my door. "Come in." Unsurprisingly, it was Daniel. What was surprising was that he was smiling.
"I have good news." Daniel said, sitting down next to me. "In this attack, we were very successful. About half of the rebels are in the dungeon."
At the word dungeon, I almost laughed. "Sorry, I thought dungeons only belonged in fairytales. But, that's great! Any casualties?"
"Only on their side." Said Daniel. "I have a meeting I have to go to, something about infrastructure." He pretended to puke. "See you later."
"Bye, Daniel."
