The next day at breakfast, Daniel eliminated Morgan Oster, which didn't suprise anyone. She had accepted the failure graciously, and even admitted that she didn't think Daniel was the right guy for her.

I glanced at Daniel and mouthed if we could hang out later. He mouthed back, "Work." I tried not to feel dejected, after all he was the prince! Of course had had work to do.

I spent the day in the women's room, trying to keep myself busy. Selena and Mara were good company, as we played cards and drank tea together.

Lexia gave us some book work to do, which was easily completed. "I'm bored." I announced to Selena and Mara.

"Same here." Said Mara. "Maybe we could check out the library?"

"Good idea," Selena responded, getting out of her seat. I followed them out of the women's room and to the library.

The library itself was huge. Rows and rows of bookshelves were there, as well as a cozy-looking fire and comfortable seating. I sat down with my friends.

"I wonder who will make the Elite." I thought out loud.

"I hope I do." Selena said. "To be honest, I don't know if Daniel is the right guy for me or not. But I would like to stay here, because, who wouldn't?"

"I know right," Mara added. "Everything is so fancy!"

"And the food." I said. "The food is beyond exceptional."

We all laughed. "I mean, it's true!" I insisted.

"I can't believe that we're down to thirteen girls." Said Mara. "It feels like yesterday I got the letter in the mail saying that I could apply."

The next day, the girl eliminated was Paisley Greene, a Three from Carolina. Now we were down to twelve. Two more, and we would have the Elite. Which, frankly, I was excited about. We would learn how to be a princess and someday queen, and get to host parties and other things like that.

Daniel dragged his feet on the next elimination, which was only a day before The Report. The unlucky girl was Lucile Gold, a Two from Clermont. I knew that she was one of Moxie's friends, which made me happy and nervous in a way.

Once my maids had put me in a dress that looked like the night sky, I had time to sit around before walking to the studio. There was a knock at the door. "Come in." I said.

Daniel walked in, and it made me realize how long it had been since we had one-on-one time. Before I opened my mouth to speak, he feverishly kissed me. I missed it. I instantly kissed back, enjoy the affection.

"That was fun." Daniel said with a smirk on his face.

"It was." I agreed.

"So," Daniel began, sitting on my sofa. "I have to announce the Elite tonight. Any thoughts?"

"Um, no not really. You already know how I feel about Moxie." Daniel nodded. "Just please keep Mara and Selena."

"Of course, dear." He said. "Would you like to walk with me to the studio?"

I nodded and held his hand. I thought about how one day, we would be able to walk like that all the time.

I sat down with Selena and Mara, who both seemed nervous. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"We really don't want to be eliminated." Mara explained.

I longed to reassure them that they would stay in the Elite. "I'm sure you'll both stay," I said, trying to clam them.

"Thanks, but I don't know." Selena said. "We've only been on two dates."

"Dates he probably enjoyed." I added. Selena giggled as a worker announced that we were rolling. I checked my posture and smiled, exposinng my pearly whites.

"Good evening, Illea!" Aaron Neil enthusiastically greeted the viewers. "Tonight, we will receive some very special news about who will remain, and continue on to the Elite!"

Everyone politely clapped and allowed Aaron to continue speaking. "Before we get to that, we have some news on infastructure."

I tried my best to pay attention, but it didn't work. Infastructure just wasn't my thing. Finally, the attention turned from some advisors to Aaron. "Introducing, Prince Daniel!"

Daniel confidently sat in a chair next to Aaron. "Thank you, and now it is time to announce the Elite! If your name is called, that means that you have made the cut." Everyone squirmed uncomfortably, full of anticipation. "Lady Amelia, Lady Mitchell, Lady Aria," Even though I was sure that my name would be called, I let out a sigh of relief as Daniel continued. "Lady Selena, Lady Moxie, Lady Winnie, Lady Mara, Lady Lindon, Lady Blake, and Lady Via."

"And there you have it folks, The Elite!"
