Squinting his eyes open the young boy started to sniffle as he felt his body flare up "eomma!"

"I'm here baby" Hoseok was quick in grasping Kihyun's outstretched hand.

"It owies!" Those sniffles quickly turned into loud sobs causing Hoseok to gently caress his hair with his free hand.

"I know baby, the nice nurse is going to give you something that will help okay?"

Moments later the nurse entered to give Kihyun medicine that would help soothe his pain. To further distract him from the pain Hoseok read and acted out one of his favourite books with the dragon stuffed toy Taehyung gave him.

After the medicine finally kicked in Hoseok released the breath he was unconsciously holding seeing Kihyun relax and engross himself in the show he was watching. Despite Kihyun's calm exterior Kihyun's small hand was grasping tightly on Hoseok's t shirt. So Hoseok resumed caressing his hair till Kihyun eventually fell asleep again a while later.

Sighing in relief Hoseok took his phone back only to see he received a message from Taehyung. Due to Kihyun being in ICU only Hoseok was able to enter. So reluctantly Taehyung left the hospital after Hoseok assured him Kihyun was resting in ICU.

Taehyung: Did he wake up? How is he?

Smiling softly Hoseok replied to his text, telling him what happened and how Kihyun was now back asleep.

Putting his phone away Hoseok looked over at Kihyun, who looked so peaceful.

Hoseok knew Kihyun would be in pain for the next few days following his surgery but he hoped that he wouldn't have any bad side effect and that Kihyun would be able to recover smoothly.

As the doctor explained Kihyun was recovering well, and his pain was slowly but sure subsiding so by day 4 he was out of ICU and back in the children ward which Hansung was very happy about as he missed seeing his twin and mother.

Whilst Kihyun was recovering Wonho was kind enough to look after Hansung which Hoseok was very grateful for. He could've brought Hansung in the icu with him but he was too young and Hoseok definitely didn't want him to have a possible traumatic experience.

"E-Eomma!" Looking up from Kihyun Hoseok smiled softly before bending down on the chair with wide arms, seconds later a sobbing Hansung dashed into them, his small hands tightly holding his mother's t-shirt.

"Awh my baby~ i've missed you so much!" Hoseok pressed a soft long kiss on his forehead before rubbing his back softly.

"Thank you Wonho." Hoseok said softly.

"No worries! I'm glad Kihyun's surgery went well, here's a get well soon gift from Changkyun & I." Placing the bag on the table he placed another bag on the chair "I also bought you a change of clothes among other refreshments that might help."

"You shouldn't have." Hoseok pouted.

"I wanted to so please just accept it, anyways I have to go, see you later!~" waving on his way out Hoseok still pouted as he said good bye.

Soon after he saw Hansung lift his head to look at Kihyun "K-Kihyun feel better?"

Kihyun smiled brightly and nodded "Less ouchy now!"
