"Are you sleepy baby?" Hoseok cooed softly seeing Kihyun yawn quietly. Gently carding his fingers through his son's hair a soft smile grazed his lips seeing him peacefully sleep. It was currently 1pm which meant Hansung was due back from nursery any minute now. Thankfully Wonho was nice enough to drop and pick up Hansung to and from nursery allowing Hoseok to stay with Kihyun the entirety of the morning. Without Wonho there was no way he could manage everything, he was so grateful to have a friend like him.

Hearing a soft knock on the door broke his train of thought, looking up he saw the said male walk through with Hyungwon holding his hand and his baby asleep in his other arm.

"I'm so sorry" whispering quietly he quickly stood up to take Hansung in his arms but wonho carefully stepped back preventing him to do so "isn't Taehyung going to be here anytime soon?"

"Ah, he said shortly after 1 he'll come by" Hoseok pouted at the other's action as he watched him carefully lay Hansung beside Kihyun on the hospital bed.

"Then I think you should go freshen up before he arrives, right Hyungwon?" The black haired looked at his soon who giggled and nodded "yeah uncle hobi! Go get ready!"

Cooing softly he lightly ruffled Hyungwon's hair before nodding "okay I'll be back."

As soon as Hoseok was all done his phone chimed notifying him that Taehyung was outside the hospital. Sending a quick text to Wonho informing him about Taehyung being here; Hoseok took a deep breath in to compose himself before heading his way out to the hospital's parking where he saw the older perched in front of his car with a small wave when he noticed the shorter "hey."

"Hi" Hoseok smiled slightly as he shuffled his way over "where did you want to grab coffee?"

Taehyung observed the way the younger was carrying himself, the circles under his eyes clearly showed how tired he was; raising twins with no help? Taehyung can't even imagine how tough it must've been for Hoseok and yet, Hoseok was still standing strong in front of him.

"The coffee is nice here" humming softly at the younger he unconsciously tapped his fingertips against his now warm cup.

The two were currently sat in a booth near the back of a homey cafe situated 5 minutes away from the hospital as Taehyung figured Hoseok wouldn't want to go far from their children.

The two stayed in silence till a exasperated breath left the younger's lips causing Taehyung to gaze over at him. "Taehyung you're the one that suggested to talk but honestly I don't have anything to say to you, I wasn't the one who left."

"You're right" feeling the blonde's eyes on him Taehyung finished his coffee before fixating his gaze on Hoseok "I meant it when I said you meant everything to me Hoseok, I never wanted to leave. I never wanted to leave you and those boys but I...I had to."

"You had to?" Quirking an eyebrow up in disbelief the younger folded his arms as he leaned back against the booth "what could've possibly happened that made you have to leave?"

"Well it was after a month they were born this..." Taehyung chewed his lip as Hoseok looked at him expectantly before sighing and shaking his head I can't say I'm sorry." Bringing a hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose Taehyung prepared himself for a well deserved lash out from the younger.

"What could've possibly happened that meant you had to leave without saying anything?" Holding the younger's sharp gaze he had to prevent himself from gulping. His chocolate brown orbs clearly staring daggers towards him "you could've said something if you were busy and couldn't stay in contact. You had my number, you knew where we lived."

"You went Japan Hoseok—"

"No don't use that as an excuse because I didn't leave for Japan until after their 1st birthday. I knew you abandoned us after 3 weeks of you ghosting me but stupidly I had the tiniest hope you'd come back but you never did" a bitter smile spread across the younger's face as he chuckled lightly "it's funny, you wanted to talk to me and I thought it was because you'd be able to explain what happened 4 years ago but clearly not."

Inhaling sharply the younger looked away from the brunet before exhaling again "look they want to see their father and they have the right too, I can't stop them from meeting you now that you've already met, but I'm not introducing you as their father just yet."

"Hoseok please I'm sorry for what I did but I—"

"I'll introduce you as that on their birthday but we need to come to a agreement before that if you really want to be in their lives again...I mean if you stay till then." Despite mumbling the last part Taehyung heard him loud and clear.

"That's fair." Taehyung simply said before asking for the bill as Hoseok took out his phone.

Looking back at Hoseok the older saw the anger from a minute ago vanish and was now replaced by a frown plastered on his face "everything okay?"

Not getting a response straight away Taehyung was about to ask again when Hoseok started to speak "they are postponing Kihyun's surgery..."
