As Loralei layed her head down all she could hear was the chatter of toes on the tile floors. Every step left like another crack in her heart.
Tick, Tock... Tick, Tock. She counted every noise the clock made that night. Every hour that went by. Every person that walked passed her door to make sure she didn't escape. She hated it.
But at the same time, it was the most attention she has ever gotten from being alone~
Which for the record she was used to. Her parents Apple and Roman would visit her about once a month. Twice if she was lucky. She never went to school as her parents didn't care enough to send her.
"We have bigger plans darling~" they always told her. Their priority was putting a gold crown on their heads rather than a gold star on their daughter's homework paper.
But Loralei understood. They needed to do what was right for them, and Loralei needed to do what was right for her. And that was being the perfect daughter.
She did everything they asked. Everything by herself in that one-bedroom house which she called home.
Even sacrificed her freedom to help her parents be happy~
That leads us to where we are now...
"Get up!"
Loralei jumped out of bed as she was never really sleeping in the 1st place. A security guard gave her a message from King Cricket stating,
"Good Morning Loralei! Well, I assume it's morning by the time you are reading this. Today will be your 1st day of school. All your things are already taken to your new dorm. I expect good behavior from you. i know your a good person~
Sincerely, Cricket"
As the security guard walked away Loralei stared at the paper and sighed. As she stood up and got dressed in her day clothes, she wore a dark blue dress with a red scarf. her black hair, which was dyed blue on the ends, was half up in a clip. leaving only small strands of hair covering her face. She wore black boots with socks that peeked overtop of the shoe in the slightest bit.
She walked outside the holding room and walked to the car. Next to her was her new schedule and classes she shall be attending.
She had never been to a school before but she did think it was odd that her 1st class was (Anger Management) but she didn't care. Even if this was a school for delinquents she was just happy to go. Its always been a dream of hers to go to a school with people her own age. Maybe even people like her~
As the driver pulled up to the school, she could see people from all different kingdoms outside. She has never been outside of Hell Province before so this was all so new and exciting.
She stepped outside the car and her heart began pounding, not out of nerves but out of joy. She took a deep breath and said,
"I'm fine."
