Chapter 8~ Left Behind

The sun peeks onto Loralei's eyes. She squints as she slowly opens them. She can see the sun through the trees. She can see the clouds move with the blowing wind. 

She pulls the blanket up to her neck. she admires how the blanket smells just like him. As she feels the blanket, it's so soft on her skin. She looks around his room and she can see books stacked on the desk. 

*That's odd~* she thought, as she never thought he was the reading type of guy. She looked at the books a little bit closer and realized that they were all on curses. 

Usually, each kingdom practices different types of magic as well as its elemental abilities. Like Hell Province uses their primal magic for spells, Aquatica uses their primal magic for enchantments, but Enchantriess used their primal magic for curses. 

She thought it was odd that someone from Solaria and Frost Mountains would be concerned about learning that type of magic. 

There were posters of movie characters on the walls of his room. He had a TV on his dresser and a basket full of week-old laundry. 

She rolled over to meet his chest but no one was there~ Loralei sat up in bed and looked around. No one was there except her. 

She was alone.

She jumped out of bed and quickly put her clothes on from last night that were scattered across the floor. 

As she snuck out she tried not to be seen by anyone, especially since she was on the boy's side of the dormitory. 

As she crept through the halls, she saw Loyd sitting outside in the lounge area. Lord turned around to see her through the window. As he got up to greet her, she kept on walking. 

Loyd bursts through the door and said,

"Loralei wait!"

As she held back tears she said,

"I knew it."

"Woh slow down..."

He grabbed her arm to stop her but she pulled back. As she looked at him his face was filled with worry. And his eyes had dark bags underneath them. Almost like he has been up for a while. 

Lord said,

"You knew what?"

"I knew that I was just like every other girl to you."

"Loralei what are you talking about?"

"The moment we... you know what. You left me. How many other girls have been in your room huh?"

"Loralei~"

"No don't! You know how much I was left alone as a kid. And that fact that you left me after I trusted you. Just leave me alone~"

"Loralei I'm never going to leave you again I'm so sorry."

"Did you say that to all the other girls you left?"

"Loralei there are no other girls. You were my 1st alright!"

Loralei looked shocked as she looked him in the eye. She could tell that he was being 100% serious.

"Really?"

"Yes alright. I'm sorry I left I didn't mean anything by it. I promise~"

As she looked down he lifted her chin up to meet his eyes. As he looked down at her he said,

"It's always going to be you."

She went on the tip of her toes to kiss him. He ran his fingers through her hair and said,

"let me make it up to you."

"How are you going to do that exactly?"

"Meet me outside the dorm after lunch. I want to show you something."

"isn't it a weekend? We aren't allowed to leave the dorms on weekends."

"Trust me..."

She looked into his soft yellow eyes and said,

"I trust you."
