Loralei woke up the next day dreading the promise she had made last night. Well technically she didn't promise him anything but she still felt obligated to go.
Her 1st day of school. Something she has always dreamed of had to come 1st tho.
As she went on her day, she loved the teachers and the students were surprisingly very nice to her. She didn't care for the classes too much, especially since it was very hard for her to catch up with the rest of the class.
In the end, she completed the day. Didn't make any friends but~ she did it. And that was good enough for her to have a smile on her face.
"So how was day 1 at prison?"
Zeke zoomed in front of her as she was walking to the dorm area. She bluntly responded,
"It was fine? Why~"
"Well, I think you forgot something~"
"No, I haven't. I was going to give you a second chance."
"BINGO!"
He loudly said as he laughed. She tried to hide back her smile.
"Well, you pretty much know where all the classes are right?"
"Yeah, I found my way around pretty good."
"Good, but you should see where the actual fun stuff is."
"Where would this be exactly?"
"I the activities building. They have clubs, sports, or just hangout areas."
She giggled as she sarcastically said,
"Sounds very entertaining."
"Lighten up it is. Follow me this way~"
As she followed him to the door, she could see lots of students inside. The big crowd made her a bit nervous but for some reason, his confidence made her trust him.
"Here it is! Tada~ here is the gym where I and my teammates play basketball. Art and music stuff is down there, and the computer lab is this way."
As they walked into the computer lab, it was almost empty. besides for a couple of students in the back. The room was dark with posters of motivational quotes on the wall. Each computer was lined in a row with a seat slightly tucking underneath the table.
It was the quietest room she has been in all day.
"This place seems really cool, I mean seeing as it is a detention school."
Lorelei said.
"Eh, I never really cared about that part. We get a bad rep but I like it here. Much better than our rival school."
Zeke said while rolling his eyes.
"Whos that?"
"Ivuria~"
"Ivuria? But why would you hate that school? I used to read so many things about it in my books back home. It was the 1st school to have glasses with all Kingdoms."
"That's true but that school is just a bunch of rich kids."
"I suppose they are~"
She thought about it for a moment and then thought about her parents. Maybe Ivuria wasn't as great as it's meant to be.
"Have you always gone here?"
Loralei said and Zeke responded with,
"No, I got sent here because I got expelled from 10 schools in my kingdom."
"10 Schools!"
"Don't look so upset about it~ I'm pretty proud."
"But why did you get expelled so much?"
"because I had fun. That's the one thing about coming to a detention school~ they cant kick you out."
"Had fun?"
"You see, the kids here are from all kingdoms but we actually have fun."
"You mean to break the rules?"
"No, I mean having fun! Rules are meant to be broken if you wanna have a good time."
"I've never broken my parent's rules. Only once~"
"Hm, sounds intriguing. Is that how you ended up here? I'm not gonna lie, you seem too sweet to be in a school like this."
Her cheeks became rosy but alas she responded with a sigh...
"it's a long story."
"Well then,"
He grabbed her hand and looked down at her. She looked up at him and that was the 1st time she ruly realized how much taller he was than her. She stared into his pastel yellow eyes and felt so safe.
She's never felt safe with anyone before~
Zeke continued,
"Wanna go to a party with me? Me and some of the other students are planning to crash the dorm rooms after hours."
"I-I don't know about that."
"Well, it's in a month. If you still tolerate me by then, come with me."
He laughed and said,
"Alright."
