Y/n's POV
Before putting on my dress I checked the bullet wound. It was scabbing a scarring and was incredibly gross, but at least it was healing. I pulled on my dress and walked out to the kitchen. Of course as soon as I walked in, Camilo left. He's been ignoring me and avoiding me since he found out about my leg. I sighed as julieta ran her fingers through my hair. "Why's he so mad at you?" she asked. Camilo didn't tell anyone, yet. I just shrugged as I took a sip of tea. "We are having a meeting outside. You are welcome to come" julieta said as she wiped her hands on her apron. I stood up and followed her outside. Abuela raised her arms above the family and began to speak "We are going to have a guest staying with up for awhile,This person had trouble with the mother in the family so before the father came come and bring the child back to the city, the child is going to be staying with us". What? Child? Is it a girl or guy? I sighed as I excused myself and made my way down to the village. I fiddled with my necklace before I started helping people around town. I wasn't strong or anything but it's not difficult to sweep the patio or watch a child. Once I was done, I took a break. I walked up and down the stream waiting until it was dark enough to go back. I always went back when it was dark because then I could quietly slip back into my room without anyone asking me questions. My eating habits have gone to shit and I barely eat on a good day. I slowly walked back to Casita and saw a wagon with 2 donkeys still attached. I wondered who it belonged to. I've never seen this one before. When I walked up to the door I could hear people laughing and talking. I pulled my hand away from the handle and started to turn back. Maybe I could sit by the stream for a few more hours? "It's a girl:" a voice from behind me said. Startled, I turned around to see dolores. I was so weak from hunger I barely talked to anyone so I just simply nodded. "She's throwing herself onto Camilo," Dolores said again. "You might want to patch things up" with that she finally left. I slid down to the ground and stared into the darkness. What am I going to do now?
