Something Familiar

There was a lot of rattling in Rebecka's room and her brothers wondered what was going on. Once they entered they saw that she was packing all her thing and it looked like she was going for a lot of days. Niklaus went in "Running away after hearing about the marriage alliance sister? I thought you be the most excited about", he said with a smirk. His baby sister just rolled her eyes and said," No brother I am not in a hurry for that and it's not like you will ever think anyone is good enough for me". "That is true", all the brothers said in unison and started laughing. "Oh I pity my future husband", the blond replied. Causing the brother to laugh more.

After a while Elijah asked, "Where are you going, the ball is in a week". "Yes I know, I am going to France to meet Hayley, and together we shall come to the ball", Rebecka responded. All the brothers nodded and Niklaus went into the training room. Kol and Elijah observed him and said "I think he wants to beat her this time", said Kol. Elijah nodded and said, "He has practiced hard but I have a feeling that so has Andrea. Both are very similar". "Yes, but I feel there is something about their relationship, like a connection of some sort. However, if looked blindly they just look like rivals. I do not quite get it.", Kol said with a thoughtful expression. "I have also felt the same thing, do you remember their last sparing session?" Elijah asked. "Yes, every time they sparred they would always end with a tie. That day there was something different. It almost looked like Nik got distracted by something which led to Hayley disarming him", Kol responded. "I had the same feeling, I wonder what it was because it is not easy to distract Niklaus Mikaelson. Moreover, he is highly focused while sparring", Elijah said. "Yes brother I wonder who or what it was?", Kol said looking at his brother Niklaus. Rebecka heard this and said to herself "I feel like I have an idea as to who", with a smile.

After an hour she was leaving for France and bid her family goodbye. By the end of the night, she had reached the Labonair palace. She was greeted with smiling faces and hugs. Once they were inside they sat for dinner. Later on, the three girls went and sat in the garden, talking each other's ears off. Suddenly Davina said, " So what do you think about the ball?". Rebecka just smiled and said, "Yes, it would be so funny if I met my future husband". Both the sisters just smiled at that, knowing that she was a hopeless romantic. "Well I am just interested in the business alliance, it would be interesting to create a contact and negotiate," Hayley said. The other two just scoffed and said " You are such a bore". Hayley just laughed at that and asked "Are your brothers coming?". The blond replied with a "yes". Both the sisters were intrigued. Davina said, "It's been so long". "It has but I feel like Hayley will just go ahead and just Challenge Nik". Hayley said "Yes", with determination. The girls just rolled their eyes at her antics.

After a week

The day of the ball had finally arrived and the girls were all dressed up, looking like true beauties. Hayley was wearing a Royal blue gown. Rebecka wearing a Lavender one, followed by Davina with a black one. All looked stunning. However, Hayley sort of had an irritated expression on her face because she hated dressing up. She preferred her robes that had her armor below them. She despised gowns because they were so huge and long. The whole palace was playfully smiling, knowing that their princess hated gowns.

After saying their goodbyes, the girls hopped onto their carriage and rode away. During the ride, they planned to prank Niklaus. They had planned to trap Nik into the training room with Andrea disguised in there, so they could finish their sparring. Rebecka had thought of the whole thing and Davina was excited. Andrea agreed with a little bit of persuasion, still not understanding the point of all. As they entered the venue Rebeka whispered to Hayley " Now go in the back, you will find a man, he will give you your armor. Wear the veil I gave you and cover your face. I will send Nik soon". She nodded and did as she was told.

While she was waiting in the training room, Rebecka introduced the Mikaelson brothers to Davina and they hugged her as if they had just met her yesterday. All of them considered her their little sister, except for one of them who start might have been staring at her in awe. Then Elijah asked for Andrea, knowing that Niklaus would be wondering about her. Just like Elijah had expected, Niklaus looked at Rebecka waiting for an answer. Rebecka noticed this and turned towards Nik. "She will be arriving soon, just running a bit late". Now Elijah and Rebecka were teasing him with a smile but he just said "Just interested in the sparring session". Both of them replied "We know", with a hint of sarcasm. Niklaus got annoyed and left. Rebecka followed him and said "I need to show you something", he did not know what was going on but just went with it.

Both of them had reached the door of the training room when suddenly Davina called out for Rebecka just as they had planned. She left Nik there and asked him to wait. Andrea was by the door and heard all of this, she quickly grabbed Klaus and tied a piece of cloth around his hands and eye. He was not able to see so he just stood there. Andrea waited for a moment and observed him, although she could not see his eyes but felt a certain pull towards him. Ignoring this she went ahead with the plan. Nik calmly stood there and said "Whoever you are know that your plan was not good because I can easily get out of this and take you down", he finished with a smirk. Andrea shook her head and said, " Maybe I have another agenda and it may require you to not be tied". He was surprised for a few seconds and then said "Well then let's find out shall we love". Klaus swiftly removed the cloth and freed himself and was gazing at the kidnapper. The person was in warrior armor with their face covered and a sword in hand. He thought to himself "Well a dual is better than some boring ball".

He went forward and picked up the sword. Both of them adjusted to a warrior stance and they were about to start. Nik charged first thinking it would take only a few minutes to disarm his opponent. He was very wrong because Andrea quickly blocked him and attacked his weak spot. Klaus was surprised at the skill and power the person possessed. They both sparred for about an hour blocking and attacking with all their power. It looked like this was not going anywhere, both were like the perfect match for each other. Suddenly his eyes went to the veil and decided to remove it, thinking that it would distract his opponent. Sadly, he did not realize how wrong he was. He used the sword to remove the veil and revealed a beautiful face with strong emerald green eyes. The man was stunned at the view because he never thought someone could look so beautiful and at that moment his heart skipped a beat.

On the other hand, Rebeka had told her brothers the whole plan. She told them that they can now find out what had distracted their brother. The Mikaelsons smirked knowing that their suspicions would turn into reality soon. All of them went near a window and watched the whole scene. Kol said "Will they ever stop I am getting bored, we get it you both love to fight", the others quietly laughed at this. They soon saw the unveiling and were invested now. Niklaus just stood there as her hair dropped down and revealing the appearance of the masked woman. Andrea noticed he was distracted and quickly disarmed him. Klaus was soon brought back to reality and noticed his sword on the ground. Andrea smiled and said "Looks like I won Mikaelson" and with that, she left. Klaus just stood there wondering what had happened and who this mysterious woman was. He also left after a while, the people by the window were just smirking and said "I knew it".

Once Klaus reached the ball, he felt like he knew the woman and her technique. It all seemed way too familiar, especially those emerald green eyes. Then his eyes suddenly went on a girl who was struggling with her gown, it had gotten stuck on a nail. Klaus kneeled down to remove it. The girl turned around to say thank you but instead, they both said in unison "You!". It was the same girl from the training room. Niklaus looked at her for a while she was all dressed and looked amazing. Then he got a hold of himself and asked "Who are you?". The girl just replied with a "Why do you care" and continued looking frustrated with her dress. Muttering to herself "I hate gowns". At that moment Klaus asked "Hayley?"
