"Now listen up you two, no seeing each other until the wedding. Alright?", Rebekah asked in a menacing tone. Both of them nodded with a silent gulp. The sweet blonde can be scary. After a while, everyone retreated to their chambers. Few were still wide awake, some lost in their thought while others were agitated.

Klaus and Hayley, not being able to sleep. They had gotten pretty used to sleeping with each other. This dependency was driving them mad and it was so scary. However, it was accompanied by excitement and bliss. A feeling never experienced or known to either. Confused by their thoughts they just listened to what their hearts wanted. Looking at the clock ticking, Klaus thought of something ingenious.

While the oblivious pair was testing the waters, the love-sick blonde was up thinking of someone special. While finishing up Hayley's bouquet, she thought about the boy she had met at the ball. He was sweet and caring, their conversations never left her mind. The colors felt bright, the air felt lighter, and the rain left tingles of bliss around her body. She was sure that she had fallen in love. Her faith in love was great so she was bound to fall, even though it did so fast.

She sat up questioning herself if he was the right man. So many years with Hayley had taught her the art of caution. Suddenly, she heard a sound and was brought back to the present. Marched forward towards the chambers where she knew she would catch two liars.

Jumping in and placed a hand on her mouth and said, "Don't attack it is just me", she removed his hand from her mouth, "What are you doing here, Rebekah will kill us !" He chuckled and wrapped his hand around her waist saying, "This might seem shocking but I know how weddings work. The bride and groom are not supposed to see each other on the day of the wedding, it is not tomorrow yet so I can do whatever I want with you." He said it with his classic smirk.

She then gazed at him lovingly and put her arms around his neck, "Well then what do you have planned." He did not expect her to be so bold, he assumed her blushing but she surprised him. "You do not affect me as much as you think you do", she whispered into his ear. "Oh really", then he pulled her closer. They were only a few centimeters apart.

Her breathing hitched a bit, but she got herself together. "Yes really", she put her arms around his neck. He was stunned by the action but pulled her a bit closer. "At least, I can make you react", she said with a smirk. "You insult me, now see what I am going to do", Klaus said with a devious smile.

Hayley got a bit concerned, but thankfully Rebekah interrupted the moment. Before Klaus could defend himself, "Yes, Nik I know it is not yet midnight so you can meet her. Also you will retreat to your room sharp at twelve", she ordered. "You know I do not like to be ordered", he said with a stern look. "Yes but you also love your sweet little sister who spent the whole week planning your amazing wedding. I am pretty sure you would not want to anger Mother by breaking tradition", she said cheekily.

"Ya fine, I will go in another five minutes", and she left after saying, "Good boy." Hayley looked on amused while Klaus had a frustrated look. Rebekah came back and Klaus groaned, "What is it now ?", he questioned. "What are you doing here, is this not a partnership marriage? It is not like you guys are in love, so why are you not able to stay away from her."

Both of them were astonished, she was right. They are not in love, so why all this? Then the million-dollar question popped up, are they? Like every other time they came up with an excuse. "We were discussing Marcel", they said in unison. Surprised at their synchronization, nodded to each other in appreciation.

"Hmm, well goodnight", she wished them and left. It was now awkward because both of them were clearly not in the mood to speak about Marcel, but the silence was killing them. "Um so you came to speak about Marcel...", she stated. "You were the one who brought it up", he replied in distaste. Obviously, he did not want to talk about Marcel! He had come for something else...
