A hopeful Hayley heads towards her chambers, happy that Klaus is finally giving her a chance to clear the air out.  The misunderstandings were taking a toll on their partnership and she was afraid that it would be a hindrance to their duties.

The moment she opens the door she is shocked! Crumbling from within, at the sight of her husband with another woman. Sadly, she knew it was fake but it still hurt a lot. Closing the door hard, the two broke apart.

Hayley aimed the knives with delicate precision, nailing Caroline to the wall. She approached her like a predator. "If I ever see you near MY HUSBAND AGAIN. THESE KNIVES WILL BE IN YOUR CHEST." She threatened.

Removed the knives as she nodded in horror and ran away. Klaus stood as a silent spectator. He observed his wife keenly, she was now facing him. Raw vulnerability was seen in her eyes but her stance was that of a powerful warrior.

She pushed him to the wall and questioned, "I just asked you to hear me out and this is how you act—going with that stupid girl, just to hurt me. I know for a fact that you did not do anything with her. Sure you both were close and it looked like you were kissing her neck. I am sorry but you forgot to account for the mirror, where it was so painfully obvious that it was all an act. Your hands are flat on the wall, making it look like it is around her waist. Your body is barely touching her, and your lips are making no contact with her skin!"

"Well, I am sorry unlike you I do not indulge myself in illicit affairs. I just wanted to make you feel betrayed." Klaus spoke.

"I did no such thing! I REQUESTED YOU TO HEAR ME OUT AND INSTEAD YOU GO DO THIS!"

"Always the hypocrite aren't you Hayley? I saw your letter !"

"What letter?"

FLASHBACK:

"Klaus I am so sorry but I found this", Caroline said.

Upon going through it he realized that it was a letter from Hayley to Jake, professing her love for him, with the royal insignia.

NOW

"This letter has your identification, Hayley! Even if I assume that someone else used it, I cannot overlook everything."

Hayley was shocked looking at the letter, it was written in her handwriting with her insignia. She was bewildered and looked at Klaus with a defeated look. His conclusion was perfectly rational for a person who has never trusted her. At that moment she felt very cold at this realization.

"I have not written this. The moment I saw you with her I did not instantly think that you were cheating on me. I looked for the truth and was so relieved to learn that you were not, but the fact that you went this far certainly hurt. You are so paranoid that the second it looks like someone is breaking your trust, you do not turn back. Just label that person a traitor. This paranoia of yours will kill our future. I cannot do this anymore, if you want to hurt me do it on your own. If you do something like this again, I will kill the girl !"

Afterwards, she went into to the bathroom, while he punched a wall in anger. When she was back she found him on the couch almost down two bottles. He looked very drunk so she decided to put him to bed. Hayley went toward drunk Klaus and softly said, "You are drinking too much, let's go to bed."

"Nooo", he whined. Pulling her into his lap, there she sat with him in her black nightgown. His hand held her waist firmly. Andrea started to feel nervous at their proximity, Niklaus on the other hand was extremely drunk.

"You know I thought that our marriage would lead to a huge change, but I hoped that one day we would be like this- man and wife. I suppose I was just delusional", he said.

She looked up at him with kind eyes and directed his face towards her, "We will, one day we will."

Unable to control his actions, he leaned forward and kissed her neck softly. Even his unsound self could not ignore how exquisite she looked with that black shrug. Soon it became quite intense, Andrea was breathless at the contact of his lips. Everything faded, all she could think about was the both of them.

Niklaus slowly started to remove her shrug, at that moment she stopped him. In the morning she knew he would regret it, there was still no trust in their marriage. This would happen once they crossed that bridge, for now, she had to take care of him.

Softly she spoke, "You are drunk right now, come let us go to bed", and kissed him on his cheek. He nodded feeling very tired, supporting him as he walked. Once Niklaus was in bed, she covered him with the blanket and kissed his forehead. Before leaving he caught her hand, "Come here, please."

Unable to say no she lays down beside him, while he pulls her to his side. Andrea placed her head on his chest while his arm was around her waist. She planned to move once he was asleep, however she dozed off the minute she was in his arms.

The next morning Klaus woke up with a terrible headache and was shocked to find his beautiful wife right next to him. He tried to recall what happened, but it was very vague. Hayley's movement broke his concentration. She moved closer to him, while he just stared at her.

The girl he knew since he was a little boy. From what he had known she was one of the most trustworthy people. At the same time, his father had always said, "Trust nobody." Being the king causes one to be extremely cautious.

Yet, he had felt that he could always trust her. The occurrence of all those events shook his world, he had always been paranoid about everything, a trait he inherited from his father. She was the one constant and he had lost her!  At least, that is what he thought.

A/N- Hope you liked it, I try to remain as consistent as possible. Always open to any suggestions or plot lines you wish to see...
