Unexpected Encounter

At dawn, both of them left in different directions using the maps they had procured by themselves. Both had added a black hooded robe to their disguises to attract less attention. Hayley had worn a beautiful robe with minimal jewelry. She was hoping to catch Marcel's eye as the beautiful businesswoman. Once she had secured her place as a useful asset to him, she would seduce him to spill all his secrets.

Klaus had a similar plan excluding the seduction. He hoped to pose himself as someone whose friendship would prove to be very profitable. In other words, someone who could potentially help him take over Europe.

It was a long route but they finally reached Turkey by midnight. Andrea was walking down a lonely street, unfortunately, her robe got stuck on a nail causing her dress to be revealed. Her face was covered but she still looked like one of the most beautiful women. The red dress perfectly hugged her body and she looked stunning.

The beautiful view caught the eye of three drunk guys passing by. They looked at her with their lustful eyes hoping to get lucky tonight. Three of them walked towards her thinking they would have one hell of a night. Sadly, this would be partially true but not how they wanted.

The boys started to harass her, frustrated by their behavior she decided to make them regret the time they ever laid eyes on her. She was about to knock them out when a mysterious man helped her by taking all three down at once.

Impressed by his kind act she proceeded to thank him but he interrupted her "It's not safe to out at this time, where is your house? Let me drop you" "I am traveling, I do not live here" "Quite the fearless one to be traveling alone, next time carry a weapon".

She quickly removed the dagger she had hidden in her foot, aimed it correctly at an apple stacked on an abandoned fruit vendor's cart, and then looked at his astonished face. "Wow you do know how to protect yourself, I guess I was not needed," he said with a light chuckle.

"Guess not but I appreciate the help, you have a good heart" "Thank you", their genuine smiles were hidden and so were their faces. Suddenly Andrea was about to trip on a piece of rock but the man caught her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

She had accidentally stepped on a shard of glass and her foot was bleeding. The man slowly placed her on a chair and began to examine her foot. It penetrated quite deep and there was blood everywhere. He quickly knocked on a nearby house and explained his situation. A man named Abdul answered and was happy to help. He provided a herbal paste his wife had made with some water and a cloth, to clean the wound.

The mysterious man tended to her wounds carefully and tried to be as gentle as he could. Andrea noticed this and said "I am fine, do not worry", the man just nodded. He was puzzled as to why he cared so much about her wellbeing.

After a while, Abdul asked "Do you have a place to stay? I run a homestay, you could stay there free of cost." "Thank you so much sir but I do have some money, we can pay for the night", Andrea said. "No please, I insist." "No sir you are very kind but I am afraid I cannot accept your offer", she politely declined. "I cannot say more than" Abdul smiled at her.

Once her wound was all dressed and ready, the mysterious man picked her up again and carried her to the homestay. She had said many times that she could walk, but he just continued carrying her without saying a word. For some reason, he had started acting like they knew each other which he found weird. He felt some sort of familiarity with her like he knew her too well.

She was frustrated by his lack of speech so she just started staring at her surroundings. Taking in the view. He watched her closely and wondered why he felt like he knew her and then he looked into those emerald eyes. The man started to recollect everything that had just happened. The dagger, her voice, eyes, stubbornness. Suddenly he suspected the woman in his arms to be Andrea Labonair.

He was pulled out of his thought when she heard Abdul say "Your wife is quite stubborn, so is mine" with a playful smile. Both of them gasped but the man replied coolly "She is", for which he got elbowed by Andrea. He was not sure if she was mad that he called her stubborn or his wife, maybe both.

"Yes, well my husband here is no different", relieved that she did not deny it he continued to walk. They both had experience in this kind of stuff and had done their research on the place. These areas had people of traditional thinking. Upon seeing a man and woman alone together at night, they generally consider them married.

They did not want any problem to arise so played along with it. During all of this, the man's mask was getting loose. After they had greeted Abdul's wife and checked into their room. The mask was about to fall and the man had no clue about it.

Andrea had no idea what to do but she realized that she was about to spend the night with a stranger. She sat on the bed in deep thought while the stranger entered. There was a bit of water on the ground which caused him to slip and land on Andrea.

Due to his fall, the mask fell. Andrea was looking right into Niklaus's sea blue eyes. She was stunned at the revelation but kind of expected it. Whereas Klaus kept staring at her eyes. Those beautiful emerald orbs looked so familiar. Tired of not knowing he began to untie her mask but she stopped him and said "You do not need to know who I am".

He did not want to press her so he let it go and went to take a shower. Andrea wondered why she had not revealed who she is but then got tired and fell asleep. Klaus came back from his shower and found her fast asleep. He adjusted her pillow and put the blanket over her. Water from his wet hair had woken her up and he was unknown to that.

While pretending to sleep she heard him say "I know you are Andrea, goodnight". This internally shocked her and wondered how could he have known. She started to think about the last time she had tried to fool him about her identity. Sadly, she had failed last time and it looks like history is repeating itself.
