I unbuckle my seatbelt and lean over to kiss her forehead.

"I know I fucked up. I won't do anything like that ever again."

She lifts her gaze to look at me.

"What happened InuYasha? Why'd he hit you?"

I lean back to get a better look at her face.

"We got in a stupid fight about the family business as always. He was all concerned I wouldn't get my schooling done because of you or the baby. He then changed his mind and said he doesn't mind us having a baby if it gives him another heir to the business, I cut that idea off pretty fast though. What really tipped him off was when I mentioned my Mother. He always gets pissed when anyone brings her up."

She frowns.

"I'm so sorry InuYasha it can't be easy for you."

I look forward again.

"My family has been broken since I was three , and every time I get attached to someone they leave me. First my Mother than all the damn nannies that watched me as a kid.

I mean my Father wasn't even nice enough to get me one nanny.

Instead he went with a company that would switch out every week so once I started getting attached to them a new nanny would come and I'd have to start all over again!"

I look down at my hands.

"My Father died along with my Mother."

I feel her hand on my shoulder and I turn to look at her again.

"What about your brother? Was he around for you?"

I shake my head.

"Hell no he's hated me since I was born. He blames me for our Father leaving his Mother for mine. We're not close at all..."
