"Abuelo! Let's go! Let's go!" a young girl exclaimed, excitement running through as her grandfather merely chuckled. "Yes Clarita, we'll be going now." He said in return.
It was a special night in Encanto after all, it was Camilo's Gift Ceremony.
"Theresa, we have to go." Abuelo said to his daughter-in-law, who smiled. "Of course Abuelo." The woman said as she took the hand of her daughter.
In this town called Encanto, there lived a magical family named the Madrigal family. They were the ones given a miracle, who created this safe haven of a town, and were gifted with magical talents of their own.
And the Madrigals had the duty of helping the town in exchange of the gifts they've received. The town relies on them a lot and they were the foundation of this town Encanto.
"Alma! It's great to see you."
"Marcelo, it's great to see you too."
The Madrigal Abuela said as she welcomed the little girl's grandfather with hospitality.
Marcelo Martinez, he was an old friend of the late Pedro Madrigal. They have supported each other ever since they were young, and when Pedro passed away, Marcelo had supported his friend's wife Alma with his all.
The Martinez family aided the Madrigals in being the town's foundation. The Martinez's would support the Madrigals in personal events as well. They have always helped the Madrigals and in return the Madrigals cherished the bond they have.
The families were close and usually spend time together.
"Buenas Noches Abuela Alma." The little excited girl greeted with a small grin. Alma softens at the child, she had her good friend's eyes, "Buenas Noches Little Clarita. Camilo is inside his room, you should go meet him." She gently said.
"Yes Abuela. See you later!" Enthusiastic, little Clarita ran off inside. She was on a mission to find her friend. The adults watched her go with small chuckles.
"They are as close as always." Marcelo sighed out as Theresa had moved to talk to Julietta and Pepa. "Indeed." Alma said back, pleased.
The Martinez family was usually in the Casita, so their children and grandchildren knew each other well. Marcelo's granddaughter Clara in particular became best friends with Alma's grandson Camilo.
Alma personally thinks it is a good thing that the children's relations were close.
"Milo~!" Clara drawled out as she opened the nursery room. She sees her friend on his bed, wearing white under his usual yellow ruana. "Clara!" Camilo exclaimed in joy as she sat beside him.
"Are you excited? You're getting your gift!" Clara asked him with glee. Camilo nodded, "Yeah... do you think my gift would be good?" he said, eyes visibly dimming.
Clara pouts at that, "Of course! You'd get a cool gift and be super helpful!" she exclaimed at him. She takes his hands, making him face her properly. "You'd get your cool gift, then Mira would get hers. Then you guys become magical and better!" she childishly reasoned.
Despite that, Camilo felt a bit more reassured. "Yeah, you're right." He said with a grin.
"Thank you Querida."
"Querida?"
"Papa said that you call someone you really care for with nicknames!" Camilo reasoned innocently. And in the same innocent way, Clara clapped her hands together with a smile. "I see! So that's how it is." She said.
