If anyone were to ask Camilo Madrigal what his favorite day was, he will for sure answer that today is his favorite.
Why, may people ask? But, honestly, no one in the Encanto would even be asking.
From the white ribbon decorations all around the church and Casita, added with the white and yellow Alstroemeria flower arrangements, to the people all wearing festive formal attires. Today had a very obvious reason why Camilo absolutely favored this day without it even starting yet.
Today was his wedding, his wedding with his life-long best friend and beloved.
"Camilo, stop acting like Dolores to get out." Isabela sighed out at the 'Dolores doubleganger' while the real one had been checking the decorations and venue the whole time with her.
And thus, the Dolores who was trying to sneak out shifted back to Camilo in his wedding outfit. "Tsk, Worth a shot." He grumbled to himself.
"Why are you sneaking out in the first place?" Dolores asked her brother, ushering him back to the groom's room while pushing on his shoulders.
"Don't tell me it was to run away. You can't have 7 tries in a wedding, Camilo." Isabela sassed, rolling her eyes as the three Madrigals made their way back.
"No." Camilo answered them, "I wanted to see my bride." He stated his reason with a shrug. He hadn't seen his Corazon the whole day yet, so he wanted to check on her too.
"You can't see her before the ceremony. You know this, Camilo." Dolores sighed out, all of them entering the groom's preparation room.
Camilo simply lets out a groan at his sister before seeing that his room was also occupied by Mirabel, Antonio, and Dolores' daughter Estrella.
"There you were, Camilo! We were wondering why you weren't in your room." Antonio said with worried furrowed brows.
"That's right. Got cold feet?" Mirabel joked, knowing that Camilo most likely just wanted to wander around instead of staying put.
"No. I wanted to meet my soon-to-be wife already." Camilo drawled out as he sat down.
"You mean Tia Cariño, Tio Camilo?" Little Estrella asked with an excited gleam in her eyes. Her cute white dress bounced with the little skips she did to reach her uncle.
Isabela and Mirabel muffled a laugh, Antonio lets out a short snort, and Dolores chuckled softly at the blunder.
Camilo could only remember a scene from the past and flushed red. "That's right... your Tia Clara." He corrected his niece, who nodded enthusiastically.
"But Mama said grooms can't see brides yet until the church." Estrella said with a thinking pout.
"That's because your troublesome Tio wanted to break that rule. Don't be like Tio." Dolores chided to the little girl with a pat on her head.
"Hey! I'm not that bad."
"You failed three proposal attempts before actually proposing."
And here comes Isabela again, cutting through Camilo's confidence that way. "In my defense, they were all disturbed by someone asking for help!" Camilo exclaimed back.
"We should get paid, we helped you out on your romance too much." Mirabel drawled out with a snicker. "As if I didn't help you guys out either." Camilo rolled his eyes at them.
