Sanemi's pov.
His fucking smile... it's pretty...
Sanemi shakes the thought out of his head, digging his nails into his skin. He was currently following Giyuu outside of the house in which they were going to watch the sunrise together. He felt as if his mind was going to explode. His body was not in a state that could be controlled at the moment. He felt his face rising in temperature, heart rate increasing by the moment as he thought back to Giyuu smiling with the sun. At that moment, he realized what had been contributing to his feelings. He swallowed hard.
Fuck this shit!
Giyuu had led them up a hill which a little small maple tree had grown. Its leaves were beginning to redden, a sign autumn was inching closer. The hill had offered a gorgeous view along with a calming aura. The swaying dense forest could be seen from up top with its harboring animals roaming around. Miles and miles of neverending scenery with the sun slowly coming out of its hiding spot. Sanemi could sense why Giyuu had led them up here.
"Shinazugawa, come sit down."
"Hmph."
The both of them sat beside each other, where Sanemi sat to the left of Giyuu. Their hands rested on the grass as they had nothing but the sun to pay their attention to. Sanemi stretched his arms and neck, feeling a bit stiff. He put his right hand down, accidentally bumping Giyuu's. Sanemi immediately retracted his hand as he felt his bothersome feelings coming back.
He avoided Giyuu's face, considering doing something he might regret. He put his hand down again, close to Giyuu's. He closed his eyes and decided to give in to his emotions. He faced Giyuu with a flustered face, grabbing his hand, interlocking them.
"Shinazugawa... What are you doing?"
"Just shut up."
Giyuu stared at him with his dark blue eyes, blushing. Both of their focuses were no longer the sun. Giyuu opened his mouth for a moment but closed it, tilting his head downwards away from Sanemi's face.
"What. Got something to say?"
"No. It's just that I think that sometimes you can be quite... Never mind.
"Just spit it out!"
"Beautiful," Giyuu whispered, but loud enough that the other had heard.
Did I mishear? No, no, no. I definitely heard that.
"Hah? I can't hear you."
"It's nothing important, Shinazugawa."
Their conversation died down after a while as there was nothing much to be said. Sanemi felt this sudden powering confidence a bit overwhelming. He hadn't been entirely truthful with his feelings since the incident of him killing his mother. Especially when Genya witnessed the whole thing and was called a "murder" for killing a demon. He clearly remembered his little brother's painful words:
"MOM?! WAAH! MOM! MOM! WHY?! WHY?! WHY DID YOU KILL MOM?! AAAAH! MURDERER! YOU MURDERER!"
Sanemi never felt at ease since then, but with Giyuu around, he felt relief he had never experienced before. He realized his feelings were never recent and they were there present prior to their assigned mission. He always wondered why he was so fixated with Giyuu's every move. He never knew why he had spent so much of his attention on the Water Pillar during meetings. As of now, he decided he would try to swallow down his denial. He knew these emotions were right and he had the desire to chase them. The desire being him.
"Tomioka"
"Yes?"
"Nothing."
"Oh."
"I think you're beautiful too..."
Hi everyone! Things are finally progressing... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) That's all! Stay tuned! ;)
