Fives pov
Diego walked in looking like shit. "Five" he said in disbelief. "Hey, Diego." I said as he sat down. "You look good in white." I said. "Bout time you showed up." Diego said.
"How'd you know I'd be back?" I asked intrigued. "Because that's the kind of shit you pull." He said leaning forward. "Where are the others?" I asked thinking of y/n. "They're not with you?" Diego asked shocked. "We'll find them." I muttered softly. "How long have you been here?" I asked him changing the subject.
"Seventy five days." Diego replied leaning back in his chair. "Landed in the alley behind."
"Commerce and Knox." We said in unison.
"You?" He asked. "I got here this morning." I responded. "What about y/n and the others?" He asked. I hadn't even thought about them yet.
I wonder where y/n is though, is she ok?
"I haven't found her yet." I simply said. "How'd you find me?" Diego asked changing the subject.
I scoffed
"Page 16. Disturbed man with multiple knives arrested outside 1026 N. Beckley. That's Lee Harvey Oswald's house. Care to explain?" I said loudly. "Let's just say, Dallas law enforcement has not been supportive of my attempt to stop the assignation of John F. Kennedy." He whispered.
"That's because it hasn't happened yet." I said.
does this idiot even know that this could have catastrophic effects?
"And it's not going to happen not on my watch. Look, I've been shaving down the bars in my room. Another day or two, and I'll be out of this place. Then I'm gonna stop Oswald and save the president. You want in say the word." He whispered.
"Listen to me very closely you gibberish moron. You are not going to do a goddamn thing." I said annoyed.
I have had enough of his nonsense.
"Why not?" He asked. "Because we have to stop the apocalypse." I said. "No shit. But that doesn't happen for another 60 years." He said. "Not that apocalypse. This is a new one. It followed us. I've seen it. Nuclear war, Diego in ten days." I said as Diego Leaned back in his seat laughing.
"And I'm the one they locked up, huh?" He said. I scoffed. "Fine I'll play along. What causes it?" He asked. "I don't know. Maybe some looney-tuned asshole with a hero complex tried to save the president and screwed everything up." I said leaning back into my seat. "So your saying it worked? I saved the president? I knew I could do it. Okay okay, I'll help you." Diego asked impressed.
"Thank god." I scoffed. "After I save Kennedy. And then you swing us back a few decades. So I can slit hitlers throat off with a butter knife." He said. "This is why you don't have any friends." I realised. "You know what? Guard! My brother is plotting an escape. The bars of his room have been shaved down." I announced. Diego lunged at me but the guards held him back.
"Look This is for your own good Diego." I said. "No five!" He said struggling. "Listen my brother is a very sick man. I only pray that he gets the help he so desperately needs." I said as they injected him with a serum.
"No please! No the needle! No! No! No!" He yelled.
"Be back for you later okay? Just. Well nighty night." I said as Diego's eyes shut.
