"Okay what the hell was that?" Five asked as him and Hazel appeared on the same street 20 days earlier. "The end of the world November 25, 1963." Hazel said. "63?....you know Hazel I'm no history buff but I don't recall there being a nuclear Holocaust." Five said looking around. "No shit." Hazel rebuked.
"What about my family?" He asked as y/n popped into his head. "Dead, like everyone else." He said.
"And where am I now?" Five asked.
"Dallas, same street. 10 days earlier. Plenty of time to restore the timeline and save them." Hazel said sitting down on the bench in front of them.
"So where do we start?" Five asked eagerly.
"We? Your on your own pal. I'm just here to keep a promise to Agnes." Hazel quickly said. "Is she?" Five asked slowly."Dead?" Hazel continued. "Yeah" he finished.
"Cancer. Took her quick. But we had 20 good years together. I guess forever just wasn't in the cards." Hazel said, but five wasn't paying much attention he noticed a bus stop on the street across from them.
Three men who looked to be in their mid-39s with white hair got off.
"I'm sorry Hazel. What about the commission?" He asked. "I quit those assholes, remember I don't owe them the fuzz off my peaches." Hazel said surprised five didn't remember.
"Then who the hell are those guys?" Five asked getting up. The men were now walking towards them with guns. "Shit! Run!" Hazel said slipping a tape into fives pocket and heading him the briefcase. They were now shooting at them.
Five jumped away behind a car as pedestrians ran screaming. The men walked up to see Hazel dead on the bench.
"How many times did I say bulletproof briefcase?" Five said to himself. He threw the briefcase on the ground and jumped away just as they started shooting again.
They looked around but after seeing nothing walked away, but five was just above them on the roof of the next building panting.
Five jumped away and landed in the alley he appeared in just a few minutes ago. He noticed the camera equipment on the roof and jumped inside.
Five walked up to a room and a man opened the door. "What do you want?" He simply said. "Hi I'm selling encyclopedias for my youth group. I was curious if—" five lied but the man shut the door in his face and five jumped inside as the man shrieked.
"How'd you do that?" The frightened man asked digging around in a drawer for something. The man pulled out a Teeny tiny knife and pointed it at five.
"Don't really have time to explain." Five answered looking around. "You from the pentagon?" He interrogated.
"Definitely not." Five answered annoyed.
"CIA? FBI? KGB?" He questioned still wanting answers.
"Is that fresh?" Five asked pointing to the pit of coffee on the table and jumping over to it.
The guy shrieked again. Five poured his coffee and walked around. "Hmm. Is this Colombian?" He asked impressed. "It's my own blend." He replied confused but taking the compliment.
""You ever heard of, uh, Area 51? Roswell." Five asked walking around. "Hot damn." The man said dancing a little and laughing.
"Whoo! See I always knew we weren't the only ones. See, Eleanor thought my head wasn't screwed on tight. But- but it's all true right? UFOs, crop circles..." he asked
"Well the truth is out there." Five replied.
"No, no, no, no, no the.... The truth, it's right here in front of us." He said pointing to fives figure.
"Tell me, why is it always an anal probe?" He asked.
"Any closer and I'll melt your brain." Five said leaning in a little.
"He needs a little space. Yes. I'll be over here." He said walking over to the corner.
"All those contraptions on the roof you built those right?" Five asked looking around. "Uh yeah yeah sure did. Yeah, I've been tracking anomalies in the atmosphere. Just waiting." He replied.
"Waiting for what?" Five asked confused. " for you. For all of you." He said as he explained his story.
" so for the past three years I've witnessed 6 energy surges in that alleyway out back. Same thing every time. A bright blue light then something appears." He said
"Did you get a good look at any of them?" Five asked looking at all the pictures on the walls. "Ya the first one. And then the big sensation one." He said. "Sensitive?" Five asked turning around. "Yeah cried a lot. Kept coming back to the alley, sat around for hours calling a woman's name. Uh... Allison." He sis is as five turned back around.
"Luther." Five said looking at the photos. But then he stopped at y/n's photos. "Y/n." He said brushing his fingers over her photo. "Uh the others came too, on and off over the years, looking for each other. Eventually they stopped." He said. "So my family's alive. Shit. I think I stranded them here now listen to me..." five said as he started walking to the table. "Elliott. Elliott. My name.... My names Elliott." He said stumbling.
"Whatever all right. I got ten days to find them and save the world. Now I need your help to do that." Five said angrily. He was getting fed up and he just wanted to see his family and find out what had happened to them.
"You need.... My.... You know what? I, uh.. I always thought that this mugshot looked like arrival number four." Elliott said pulling out a article from an old newspaper. "Diego." Five said grasping the article.
"So then, that's helpful?"Elliot asked.
"You have no idea." Five said relived and jumping away.
