I took it easy for a day and a half, laying in bed doing homework and not going outside at all. I felt fine, but I was really just avoiding the possibility of running into Sunwoo or Jacob.
But it's impossible to avoid Sunwoo as he's been dropping by like every 4 hours to make sure I'm alive.
When I hear a knock on my door I sigh, rolling my eyes as I stand up from my bed.
I open the door saying, "Sunwoo, I told you I'm perfectly fine- oh"
As embarrassing as it is no, it's not Sunwoo-- It's Jacob.
"Oh, h-hi, Daeun," Jacob gives me a small smile and he has a stack of small yellow papers in his hand.
"Hey!" I wave awkwardly. "Uh, what are you doing here?"
"Student council is going door to door handing out these," Jacob hands me a paper.
"What's this?" I ask.
"The packing list for our grade retreat." Jacob says.
"Retreat? I had no idea," I say. "When is it?"
"We leave Monday morning,"
"Monday?? As in tomorrow?" I yelp.
"Mhm!" He says.
"I haven't even started packing!" I look over the list.
"You can always-"
"Hey class president!" Someone's voice calls out from down the hall. "Less chit chat!"
"Oh I'm sorry. I have to go!" Jacob says.
"No problem. I'll um, I'll see you later," I close the door and immediately sprint around my dorm throwing things into my suit case.
Ten minutes later I get another knock on my door, and it's not Sunwoo either. It's Jia.
"I heard you're having a packing crisis," Jia lets herself in.
"Yeah. This retreat completely slipped my mind," I shut the door behind her.
"Luckily, you're bestie's with the queen of packing efficiently and quality" she kneels down to my suitcase.
In less than 20 minutes my suitcase is perfectly full of everything on the list.
"Wow, you meant it when you said efficient and quality." I put my hands on my hips.
"Of course," Jia says. "I gotta go pack my suitcase so, I'll see you tomorrow," she opens my door to reveal Sunwoo pacing outside of it.
Jia and Sunwoo look at each other before Jia walks off without a word.
"Why were you lurking?" I laugh.
"Just realized I hadn't come by in over 6 hours," Sunwoo leans on the frame of my door.
His wavy hair has been wearing off lately, and now it's almost completely straight.
"Oh I forgot I've been meaning to give this to you," I rummage through my closet and take out his black hoodie he lent me a while ago. "Here."
"Ah," he says. "I forgot about that. You can just keep it,"
"Hm? but it's yours,"
"I don't need it back I have one identical to that," Sunwoo shrugs.
"Okaay," I say, throwing it in my suitcase.
"Are you feeling well enough to go to the retreat?" Sunwoo asks.
"Yes I have been fine this entire time," I say.
"If you say so," he says. "Well I'll see you tomorrow,"
