Chapter 4 - Finale (Farwell Tenko and Nagito)

As the remaining 7 students looked at what remained of Nagito and the wheel, they all has neutral expressions, very much used to the bloodshed that came from the punishments. Rantaro was the first of the group to walk back to the elevator, followed by Ryoma and Sayaka. Ibuki, Hiyoko, Taka, and Chihiro remained behind for a while, looking around as Monokuma gave his usual insanity speech and left, leaving the 4 left to themselves. Each looking at each other, Hiyoko started a conversation

"What now? You heard what Nagito said. People'll keep killing until eventually someone wins"

Taka responded

"We'll take extra precautions to avoid that happening"

"Um, Ibuki thinks that we tried that before, and that it hasn't worked"

"But with only 7 left, keeping track of everyone and making sure it doesn't happen should be simpler, as terrible as that sounds"

Hiyoko continued

"We can't be sure that it'll stop! If someone like that one clumsy slut could kill, anyone can!"

"Clumsy sl-?.................................you know what, I won't comment. Anyway, there are a few people I trust aren't ging to murder. After today, I am sure Ibuki is incapable, and Chihiro is also very much innoc-"

Suddenly, a fourth voice appeared, from the one who hadn't inputted their opinion yet

"All we can do at this point is outlive it"

"Huh?"

The voice came from Chihiro himself

"Hiyoko's right, Taka. If Kokichi, Angie, Miu, Mahiru, Hiyoko, and Nagito were willing to murder, everyone else has the will to. I've realized this for a while now"

"......."

"I don't want to believe it either, but it's a reality we have to deal with. You, Me, Hiyoko, Rantaro, Ryoma, Sayaka, and even Ibuki...............all of us, for one reason or another, have a reason to want to get out of here...............to live.................it's only a matter of time till one of us acts on it"

After Chihiro's words, Taka came to terms with the fact of it and began walking towards the elevator, silently. Everyone else slowly walked into the elevator, leading back up to the main building.

That night, Chihiro began thinking about everyone who has passed, and what they each wanted to live to see. What they all wished to see or do if able to leave, and if he will ever see his parents again. Last he remembered, his Dad dropped him off at hopes peak when he first got there, and his mother made him a large breakfast in celebration. He wished to be able to see them once again................even just once..........along with all the friends he had in his first killing game....................Leon........................Mondo...............Makoto.........Hiro..........the ones he felt the biggest friendship with...............he hoped to be able to see them again...............as well as Sakura.....................and everyone else.......he hoped to see them again.............even for a minute..........it wuld give him enough  time to say his goodbyes...................

Out of all his regrets in his life, this was the one that hurt the most
