As the morning announcement played, Chihiro woke up to greet the new day, making his way to the cafeteria. The only other person there was Ryoma, who was chewing on gum
"Good morning, Ryoma"
"Hey Chihiro. Look, I gotta tell you something"
"Hm? What is it?"
"It's about Rantaro. During the trial yesterday, I saw how he was staring you down.........I think he knows"
"Knows? Oh..........................you mean....."
"Yeah. I mean, Nagito was in your body, and he worked together with Rantaro, so I'd say he probably knows"
".......................I hope that isn't true........even though it's only about half now, I still don't feel ready to tell anyone"
"I don't blame ya. It would be hard for even me"
As they were still talking, Taka eventually came in, followed by a very sleepy looking Ibuki
"Ugh, Ibuki's still tired. Why'd Monokuma have to wake her up?"
"Sadly we can't do anything about it. I have learned to adapt to it. I always wake up right before the announcement goes off
Chihiro looked towards them
"Wow, that's pretty impressive"
"Thank ou. Well, now that we have more people with us, I believe all 4 of us should investigate the fifth floor, hm?
The three of them agreed on it. Making their way to the 4th floor stairs, Rantaro stood there, leaning against the wall, seemingly waiting for them
"Hello Taka, Ibuki, Ryoma, and................Chihiro"
His smile seemed to have gotten bigger when saying Chihiro's name, as if he was plotting something. Taka was the first to respond
".......................Rantaro............................What brings you here?"
"Isn't it obvious? I'm checking out the fifth floor like you guys are"
"I don't believe you have the right to, after what you did yesterday"
"Yesterday? I don't exactly recall"
It was clear to them he was trying to act casual after the failure of his plan the day before, even if it wasn't Nagito's true plan, it was his
"don't think you can tag along with us after what happened. Find someplace else to investigate"
After a small chuckle, Rantaro slowly walked away, leaving the four of them to begin searching on the next floor
Over the next our, the 4 of them spread out, and looked around. Bust strangely enough, besides a few empty classrooms, all the doors were locked. After a bit of trying, they all gave up and went back downstairs. Hiyoko and Sayaka were spotted in the cafeteria. Sayaka greeted them
"Hey guys. Where have you all been?"
Taka, of course, answered
"We were checking the fifth floor, but strangely, all the doors were locked"
"Really? Strange. I guess Monokuma has something planned"
Hiyoko decided to enter the conversation
"Well of course he does! That little shit always has something planned"
"Hiyoko, language"
They all turned to a voice coming from the entrance, seeing it was Rantaro himself. Seeing him, they each left the room, attempting to distance themselves from him, even Ibuki, the most trusting of them. But, as Chihiro began walking Rantaro quickly caught him, grabbing his arm
"Let me go!"
Even as Chihiro struggled, Rantaro pulls hm closer, gipping his arm and, with his other hand, pulling his hair
"Listen to me, Chihiro"
"What do you want!?"
Chihiro was beginning to tear up
"Back before Byakuya and Nekomaru were murdered, I was given a special motive by Monokuma. I would know what the motive would be beforehand, and I can tell you"
"...................why?"
"Because I have leverage against you. Tell anyone what this motive is, and do anything I say until a murder happens, and I will reveal your secret
Chihiro could feel his heartbeat speed up, and sweat begin falling down his face
"Uh......w-what.....................w-w-what secret?"
He tried playing it off like nothing, but Rantaro saw through his obvious coverup
"I know you are a boy, Chihiro. I know you are not comfortable telling anyone, and I know that Taka and Ryoma both know"
Chihiro remained silent, terrified of what might come next
"Now. You will do as I say, and I will not tell a soul"
"....................."
Chihiro didn't want to do it. He wanted to tell everyone. He wanted to be brave enough...............but that deep part inside him slowly faded away, and was replaced with his usual paranoid self who would bow down to everything do to cowardice
"......................I'll do it"
