It felt like eternity. all that could be heard was a low rumble. All that could be seen is the darkness in the small room, as well as the figures of every survivor faintly noticeable. Eventually, the light flickered on. Everyone but Taka was asleep. Eventually, everyone was awake besides Chihiro. Taka looked at him fondly
"Chihiro........................If it weren't for you................we would have never been able to leave"
Ibuki also admired him from afar
"Chihiro.........Ibuki thanks you for preaching her innocence"
Hiyoko, still sitting down, also looked at the sleeping CHihiro
"Chihiro...........you defended me from Rantaro when nobody else would......................thank you so much"
Finally, Rantaro, who leaned against the walls as usual, thought about him as well
"Of all the people I met here....................Chihiro, you were the one that surprised me the most, and I am sure that none of us would be here if it weren't for you"
After a while, Chihiro opened his eyes and looked up at the four of them
"Are we...............safe?"
Taka kneeled down to him
"Hopefully. I hope what Alter Ego was saying isn't true, and both Sayaka and Sakura are okay and not really dead. Same with everyone else...............even those who murdered"
Rantaro spoke next
"Despite how overly trusting you may be, I can't help but agree with you"
Hiyoko and Ibuki both smiled
"Yeah.......I also somewhat feel the same about the others...................even if......................we are as bad as he says.........."
"Ibuki thinks it'll be all okie dokie!"
Chihiro looked around at his four friends, smiling at each of them
"A rule follower with a heart of gold, a foul mouthed dancer with a thing for sweets, a flightly brightly colored musician, and a shady man who couldn't seem to decide what side he was on.............even if I haven't known them for very long.............I feel as if I am closer to them than anyone else I've known, besides my own parents..............who I hope are doing okay. I have a feeling that we will all get even closer soon enough"
Rantaro suddenly jerked his head up
"I got it!"
"Huh?"
"I see it now................my talent.......................my Ultimate Talent!"
Everyone looked at him
"You finally remembered it?!"
"Yes! I am............................the Ultimate Adventurer"
Taka seemed confused
"Ultimate Adventurer?"
"I haven't told you much about myself, have I? I used to travel all over the world with my family, more often my sister. At certain points, I sometimes participated in foreign endeavors such as research to diseases. I suppose that is where I was given that talent"
"I see.........................I suppose perfect timing...........I feel us slowing down slightly"
Everyone stopped and felt the area. they were definitely slowing down. After a long while of silence, they came to a sudden stop. The door started slowly opening, and hey all looked out at the bright light outside, and all optimistically walked out, the light enveloping them

Welp. This fic is finally done. I plan on doing a follow up to it after I finish the second half of the story, as now that the story of the victims in a second killing game has been told, I plan on doing one for all of the blackened, which I will start soon. I also plan on updating my other work that is currently being worked on, AKA my Mastermind Chihiro AU and my opinions on ships. School is currently winding down a little, so I will probably have more time to write them once I am motivated. With that being said, this fic was fun to write, and while the mysteries weren't as compelling as I hoped they would, I am proud of it. Thank you and I will see you next time
