Chapter 6 - Investigation

Chihiro was tasked with searching the 5th floor for the Laptop. This floor was the most damaged one by far, with very few parts of the hall left. He decided to check the file room, as it was the most intact room. Looking around each file he could, a gaping hole opened up right next to where he was, blowing him back. He decided to check the last possible place the laptop could be. The Confidential drawer. Making his way over slowly, with a slight limp, he opened it, and saw the laptop in the very back.

He also decided to take the tape Taka begged him not to look at, out of curiosity.

He ran away, quickly, making sure he got out fast in case another hole opened up. His judgement proved correct, as soon, the file room was almost completely gone. only the door frame was left. Chihiro left the floor, before it all exploded around him.

Chihiro made his way down stairs, stopping at the second floor, where Monokuma was still standing, back turned to him. Out of curiosity, he made his way over to him, only for Monokuma to turn towards him

"BOO!!"

Chihiro leapt back, caught off-guard

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! I GOT SOMEONE!"

"Why'd you do that!?"

"To test if someone would be so stupid as to fall for an obvious trick!"

"I'm not stupid! Also, you told me to get this laptop. I figured you'd want to see it"

"Well, thank you. Hold onto it for now. I gotta get everything set up!"

Monokuma disappeared, and forgot for a second that he was in a building that would blow up at any time. Before he could react, the wall floor behind him  was blown up, and the vibration that followed caused him to fall down. He barely gripped the edge, and tossed the laptop on the edge to safety. His grip on the ledge starts to slip, as he does not have enough upper body strength to lift himself up, even after his training. Just as he's about to slip, he feels something grab his hand and start pulling him up. He looked up and saw none other than Rantaro, who pulled him to safety

"We gotta go. I got the camera. grab the laptop and scram to the bottom floor"

Quickly, before he could say anything, Chihiro grabbed the Laptop and followed Rantaro down the hall, as the explosions got more and more frequent. He was able to keep up with Rantaro as he ran through the hall and down the stairs, the both of them running to the door with Monokuma on it. Chihiro was able to somewhat keep up with Rantaro, even if Rantaro himself was going as fast as he could. Seeing everyone else there, they all got into the elevator with the objects they were tasked with grabbing. they heard one more explosion before the elevator began lowering. Ibuki sat down and breathed a sigh of relief

"WHEW. Ibuki thought she was a goner!"

Rantaro stood against the wall

"Monokuma made us run these stupid errands, so he better keep us safe"

Chihiro was looking down at the ground

"So.................everyone found what they were told to get?'

Each of them pulled out the objects. Rantaro had the Camera, Taka had the USB drive, Ibuki had the Controller, Hiyoko had the Pills, and Chihiro had the Laptop.
