Chapter 13

Light is something you can't restrain. Along with its growth, limitations and possibilities.

Kagayaki: " [Light Magic: Light Sword of Conviction]" Kagayaki chanted.

Tons of swords made out of light magic appear and shoot all of them at the man covered with armour, Zald.

Zald: ' So that's his magic!? How exciting.'

Zald uses his sword to block the attacks, it was faster than he anticipated so some of it manages to hit him. But the swords just kept on coming at him.

Kagayaki: " You asked for more right! Let's see how long you can still take it!"

Kagayaki provokes Zald, but in reality, it's taking everything he had to keep the light swords appear. It won't be long enough before he exhausts his magic and sleeps because of mind down.

Kagayaki tried to run away while Zald was occupied with his magic, but Zald had enough and sped up. He leaped towards Kagayaki.

Kagayaki: " [Light Creation Magic: Light Sword]"

His sword appeared on his right hand and immediately swung it towards Zald. Zald then used his sword to destroy Kagayaki.

Shattered, Kagayaki resorts to use light speed to blink away from his position. But his knee gave out. He kneeled as he gasped for air.

Zald: ' He's nearing his limit. It's enough, I'm convinced, for a 6 years old. It's clear that he will become the strongest mage in history. Not by his magic alone, but his wits as well. Reaction speed, accumulated experience.'

Kagayaki then clasped his hands together. He chanted a magic that tells him that'll have him take the upper hand.

Kagayaki: " [Light Creation Magic: Light whip of Judgement]"

The whip immediately grabbed Zald's foot tendon and tried to knock him off balance, but looking at Zald's strength and clear status. He's a menace, his strength is unrivalled by other Level 7 adventurers so Kagayaki's attempt is futile.

Instead. Zald grabbed the whip from his foot and pulls Kagayaki closer.

Kagayaki: ' This is bad!'

Zald: " I got you now…"

Zald's is centimetres away from Kagayaki. But the fox disappears instantly, earning a smile from Zald.

Zald: " … Is what I would like to say, but you are truly fast. This light magic of yours is powerful! Can you satiate my hunger for fighting!"

Zald claimed as he looked at Kagayaki intensely. But Kagayaki reacted by creating two light swords from his hands and preparing his charge.

Kagayaki: " I don't like to entertain people. But if it's someone strong, then I'll do it."

Kagayaki disappears after a blink. Zald instinctively blocked his back, managing to counter Kagayaki's backstab. Kagayaki jumps back an but, but Zald didn't waste any time.

He then swiftly twisted his body and got momentum to swing down his sword, but Kagayaki immediately disappeared again, making Zald miss and got his sword stuck on the ground.

Kagayaki appeared 10 metres away from him and threw both of the swords. Then prepares his light spear in secret.

Zald effortlessly blocked the swords using his bare hands. Grabbing it by the blade, then shattering it to smithereens.

Kagayaki: " [Light Creation Magic: Light Spear of Judgement]"

Kagayaki sprints and charges forward, aiming for Zald in a straight line. Like a hawk, his prey was right in front of him, speed unrivalled. His spear pointed at his heart, but knowing Zald, he knew he was going to fail this. And has to think of a back up plan while in the process.

Zald then clenched his right fist, gathering his strength and aiming his attack at Kagayaki's spear.

Zald: " Arrggghhhh!"

Kagayaki: " Haaaaaaa!!"

..

The entire manor is shaking, auras over auras kept gushing from above.

Maxim: " What the hell is happening?! And why is no one doing something to it!"

Maxim angrily said. He then cracked his knuckles and looked pretty pissed. Everyone else in the living room is pretty scared by Maxim's action, but eventually also pissed by the happenings.

One of them, a level 5 member, told them that he'll take a look and try to stop it, calming Maxim down. But when that level 5 reaches the door, almost at the doorknob.

A small tremble before silence. The level 5 twisted the doorknob, followed by its destruction.

Maxim: " What the hell?!"

Smokes from the door have covered and hindered their sight from the happenings on the other side.

But then, to their surprise, Zald came out of the light with many cracks on his armour. Maxim is confused at what happened and was about to ask, but then Zald grabbed something so fast that Maxim didn't continue his sentence.

It was a bright yellow sword made out of pure magic, something truly powerful.

Maxim finally got the chance to talk and asked Zald, after Zald shattered the light sword.

Maxim: " What the hell is going on!"

Zald: " If you don't want to get involved, then leave the room immediately!"

Zald shouted as he turned his head to Maxim, but when the time he did, Kagayaki instantly appeared and imbued his fist with light and punched Zald. Sending him a few metres away.

Maxim: " A kid? Wait, aren't you Hera's new member? The hell are you doing!"

Maxim shouted, and Kagayaki heed no mind. Instead, he creates 3 light swords above him and 1 on his left hand.

He teleported to Zald's right and swung his sword, Zald on the other hand, caught it instantly. But then he shot out two of the light swords on the opposite side which is from Zald's left.

Managing to injure Zald by destroying the armor on his arm and manages to scratch his face.

Kagayaki disappears again. Creating a light spear from the sword he was holding to, used it and thrust towards Zald.

But again, Zald caught it with his left hand, and using his right hand, he tried to punch Kagayaki with a devastating force.

But using the last light sword he prepared earlier, he grabbed it and swung it towards Zald's neck.

As if time slowed as both of them saw each other's attacks as it got closer.

But then, Maxim interfered. He grabbed Zald's head and smashed it to the ground as he kicked the spear that Kagayaki was holding.

Kagayaki charged with a light speed straight and couldn't stop so he hit the wall, destroying it in the process.

Kagayaki: " Ahhhh!!"

*Crash*

Maxim: " You two… stop this Idiocracy before it becomes a headache!"

Maxim shouted as he ordered the both of them to stand down.
