"Cillian! What the fuck did you just do? You stupid fucking idiot, you just shot the one person who knows where that fucking list is! What the fuck were you thinking? You've completely fucked us!"
"You fucking heard her! She's been playing us this whole time. She was never going to give us that list, Aidan and I'm glad I fucking shot the bitch. This is the last time she gets the better of us. She's lucky that's all I fucking did."
Damien's face was bright red and Cillian could feel the furious bits of spit billowing from Damien's mouth and hitting his hot cheeks. "Is she dead?" Aidan barely whispered. He was sitting on the floor beside Frankie and was as white as a ghost. Damien moved forward but Cillian held out his arm to stop him. "I'll check." Cillian mumbled as he bent down and placed two fingers on Frankie's neck. Damien and Aidan were screaming at each other, desperately trying to think of what they were going to do now. Cillian leaned over to Frankie's ear and tried to control his breathing. She was facing the wall, her back to them so her face was hidden. "You fucking idiot. Why did you do that, huh? Why didn't you tell me?"
Frankie didn't move and Cillian was fighting the tears that were burning his eyes. "Well?" Damien spat and Cillian sighed and stood up. "She's dead."
"Great! You stupid fool. What the fuck are we going to do now! If we don't get our hands on that fucking list, we're all as dead as the bitch!" Damien punched the wall and before Cillian could defend himself, he felt a huge fat fist hit him right between his eyes. He tumbled to the floor and landed on top of Frankie. Blood was pouring from his nose as his eyes were blurred and watering. "Enough! Damien, we're all pissed off but Cillian was right to do it. I thought the bitch would have caved but I should have known. She's just as stubborn as her mother. I just wish you would have let me finish her off."
Cillian felt his head spin and he willed his eyes to regain focus on the blurry figures that were towering over him. "I've got a few calls to make. There has to be someone who knows where that fucking list is. She must have given it to someone. What about Michael? He could be in on this too. Maybe she told him? God fucking knows stranger things have happened and if this has thought me anything it's that no one can be fucking trusted. Damien, I want you to find out everything you can on Michael. Tommy never really talked about his personal life with him but I'm sure a handsome young man like him must have a girl. Find her. Go now."
Blind panic engulfed Cillian when he saw Damien's evil smile cross his face as he left the locker, calling a cab. They still didn't know Michael was a cop! They never had a reason to look into him before but he was sure that Damien's connections and resources wouldn't take long to help him find put the truth. Cillian knew Michael was seeing Linda. He had seen them together when he was following Frankie months ago. But Frankie wouldn't have gotten her involved, surely? His fears and questions were confirmed when he felt something tense beside him. Oh fuck.
"Aidan, I'll take care of the body. Just don't do anything stupid until we know anything. Go back to your place and I'll meet you there. I'm sorry Aidan but there was just no way I was letting her get away with this."
Aidan sighed and held out his hand for Cillian to take. He stood up, wobbling slightly on his feet as Aidan slapped him on the back. "I know, son. Look, we all do shit in the heat of the moment. I'm sorry about Bridget, Cill. I never wanted her to die but I'm just so glad that you're one of the good ones. If only your old man was as loyal as you." Cillian's heart stopped and fresh, overpowering rage shook through his body. He had almost forgotten what Aidan had told him earlier, that he had been the one to kill his father. His eyes pierced Aidan's and he had to control himself. But the anger and fury was consuming him and he felt his hand reach for the second gun that was hiding behind his sweatshirt.
