Summary: The students of Peach Creek High are all excited to celebrate their graduation. However, when Kevin overhears that Edd, his tutor for two months is going off to Harvard. He decides that it was time to express his feelings and graduate into something more with Edd.

It's the end of June, and it's that time that many but not all high schoolers look forward; the boys shuffle through their closets to find their best suits and gel their hairs like crazy to make sure nothing comes undone. The girls spend hours shopping for the perfect dress, their nails painted to match, and their hair coated in ten layers of hairspray. Might you think it must be prom, right? Not really, that already passed.

Today the students of Peach Creek High gather to put on their gowns and caps to celebrate their graduation. The school gym bleachers flooded by a sea of cameras and the parent's chatter. They told one another how proud they were of their son or daughter. Even if some just barely made it. The music plays, and the long line of students comes walking out. Some smile and wave to their chipper parents, while others look embarrassed or don't even care. They all sit in their seats as the principal begins with the opening speech. After ten minutes of listening to an address probably given to the last graduating class, the Val Victorian is presented and walks up to give their speech.

"Parting is such sweet sorrow..." the first line starts.

The room could already hear yawns. The speech itself was twice as long as the principals, which made those yawns turn into snores-afterward, the students presented their diplomas, awards, and congratulations from their teachers. Finally, their caps are tossed in the air to symbolize their accomplishments, the start into college, and adulthood.

During the party, all the social groups were together once more. The Eds were chatting, indulging in some refreshments, and enjoying their time together, especially since one was leaving Peach Creek.

"It sucks, man, that you can't at least spend the summer before you go off to your fancy smancy university." Eddy playfully pouted as Edd giggled.

"It's not every day you get accepted to Harvard. I want to make sure everything's ready for the school year" Edd smiles as Ed starts to overdo his sobbing.

"We are gonna miss you so much!" he wrapped his arms around Edd, holding him tight till his face was turning blue.

"Cease, Ed! Cease!" Edd commanded between each breath. Eventually, Ed let go, and Edd dusted himself off. "Don't worry, you guys. I promise to keep in touch while I'm at Harvard. Besides, you guys are my only friends. I highly doubt I will make new ones" Edd nervously chuckles as he scratches the back of his head. Little did they realize someone from across the way was peering over them.

"Don't set yourself to low Double D! Surrounded by nerds; I'm sure you will make a friend," Eddy assured him as he gave Edd a loud pat on his back.

Footsteps started to grow closer to the group, and once they reached a specific volume, they turned their heads to see Kevin standing there. With a calm expression on his face and his hands in his pockets. Edd was surprised to see Kevin over here while Eddy gave him a slight glare.

"Yo Double D, could I speak to you?" Kevin wonders as he looks over to Edd.

"What is it that you want shovel chin?" Eddy aggressively questioned. Kevin quietly hissed as he gave a glare over to Eddy.

"I wasn't talking to you, dork! I want to speak to Double D. In private" Edd was now even more surprised. However, Eddy didn't seem to agree with that.

"Nah, whatever you got to say, you say it in front of us!" Eddy walks over to Kevin, aggressively staring him down, small growls coming between the two. Worried that the situation would escalate, Edd walks over and gently places a hand on Eddy's shoulder.

"It's okay, Eddy. I will be fine," Edd assures him with a smile. Eddy felt a little uneasy but decided to trust his friend.

"Argh, fine! But I kid you not if you harm him in any way. I will turn your face inside out," Eddy threatens as he smashes his fist into the palm of his hand.

Kevin quietly hisses but agrees. He signals Edd to follow him. Walking outside and around the building, Edd is a little curious as to why Kevin brought him out here. Before Edd even had a slight chance to speak, Kevin immediately started.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were going to Harvard?" Kevin bluntly wonders. Edd is a little thrown off by his question.

"I beg your pardon?" Edd raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"You heard me. Why didn't you tell me that you were leaving Peach Creek?" Kevin's tough exterior suddenly started to soften, looking a bit discouraged and even upset.

"I-I didn't think you would want to know. Besides, it's not like we were friends. I was your tutor for two months, that's all," Edd bluntly admits while also looking away nervously.

Kevin looked down, hurt by Edd's honest response. Looking back at Kevin, Edd noticed that he was quiet and a bit out of character. Seeing Kevin in this state made Edd evaluate the importance of the situation.

"My tutor, eh? That's all it was to you? I honestly thought we were growing close as friends," Kevin muttered, and the confession surprised Edd even more.

"Well, yea...I just thought someone like me is only just a nerd to you..." Edd stuttered uncontrollably.

"After spending those two months with you. You were more than just a nerd; I saw that you were very caring and weren't afraid to talk back to me when I wasn't paying attention. It helped me see more of you than what most people thought," Kevin admits as Edd stands there with his jaw slightly open and his eyes widened-filled with emotions and enlightenment.

"R-really? I never thought you felt that way," Edd muttered.

"Now that you know. How do you feel now?" Kevin wondered as Edd's face started to go a bit red.

"Um, well...if you wish for me to be honest, then...I would say you aren't the bully or jock that people say you are. You have a lot of empathy, and you have a sensitive side. Which was amazing to see," Edd admits with his fingers fidgeting and a small bite of the lip. Kevin's eyes lighten up the moment Edd reveals that to him.

Suddenly as if the world went silent, the only thing left was the sound of two heartbeats. They were drumming loudly and rapidly. The boys stare at one another for a brief moment until suddenly their reflection can be seen in each other's eyes. That was the ultimate moment of truth.

"I'm glad to hear that. Listen, since I got what I needed off my chest, I have one thing to ask you," Kevin spoke.

"Sure, what is it?" Edd wondered.

"Want to be friends?" Kevin's face turns red. Edd was shocked at first, but he took a deep breath and was ready to answer.

"Yes, I do," Edd clearly uttered with a slight smile on his face. Kevin was overwhelmed with joy by his answer that his smile was bright, and his eyes gleamed with happiness.

"A-awesome! Before we head back, I will give you my number" Kevin starts to pull out a piece of paper from his pocket.

"Perfect! I will give you a call," Edd said as Kevin walked over to hand him the paper.

The moment their hands touched, it seemed like time had stopped, and that moment lit a spark. However, who's to say that it was two sparks? When one already was.

"Edd..." Kevin softly muttered as he gripped Edd's hand and pulled him close.

Unable to react fast enough, Edd was overwhelmingly shocked by what happened next. Kevin gently smashes his lips onto Edd's. The sounds of their hearts drummed up again, and the feeling became as calm as the air. To Kevin's surprise, Edd kisses him back, exchanging each other's intense emotions. After a couple of moments, the two break away from their kiss, and Edd's face turns red from realizing the event.

"Promise me. The moment you arrive at Harvard, you will call me," Kevin muttered as if nothing had happened.

"Y-yes...I p-promise," Edd stutters.

"Good," Kevin smiles as he lets go of Edd's hand.

He turns around and starts to head back into the building. Leaving Edd to stand there, gently touch his lips, and wonder. Kevin made his intentions very clear; however, does Edd feel the same?
