We're at war. I'm in this little community area in the middle of the grasslands, sort of like a trailer park but not really. I'm in the home base, it's our last trying effort because we are losing badly, all of the survivors are in here waiting for the next wave of attacks. These humanoid creatures are attacking us, reminding me of insects for some reason. I think they are insect creatures who shapeshift into humans but have little spikes, bug eyes, and antennas pop out, anyways, they are rabidly savage. My mom is here, it's her but not her, I'm not me, I'm a character and that's the character's mom. I still feel loyal to her like I would my own mother though. Enough to stay around her at all times with my guard up constantly. Later, I end up going outside to do a roundup check, it's nice and sunny. I pat my sides, making sure my daggers are still there. I nod at some soldiers; they're not really soldiers, just simple homeowners who are trying to defend themselves, I think there are only three to five soldiers around the area. The war horn cries and I look to the back, there is a small group of insectoids running aggressively towards us, clashing with a couple of people, tearing them up easily. I stand guard at the door inside the base, nothing is going to get past me. I hear the sounds of shouting, gunshots, and fighting sounds, I do not move. Two little "children" come out of nowhere running at the door, I try to block it but they phase right through me. Filled with adrenaline, I manage to grab both of their hair and yank them back, their "claws" scrape at my arm but I throw them out viciously. Glass shatters and I see an adult male has scrambled its way in. The skin is torn revealing a dark green and its mouth is peeled back showing mandible-like teeth. It beats down those around it and I charge in, tackling it and punching it. More coming through the door I left unguarded and I stand up trying to fight them off as well. I think I'm the only able one left to fight. My mom is behind me and she shouts, I look back to see two others approaching her. My lucid kicks in, I am stricken with hard rage and I see a reddish overtone in my vision. I turned into something resembling my OC, Midnight, because my "dream human body" was obviously not cutting it for fighting purposes and I'm really protective over my mom. Spinning around, a dance of death, I'm slicing and dicing the insectoids, stabbing and tearing, breaking and throwing, none have even come close to my mom. Holding out my daggers in a defensive stance around my mom, I realized I killed the whole group of insectoids and my face relaxes, others that were hiding came out and cheered for me. All I care about is my mom, I turn to her to make sure no injuries fell onto her. I'm a little concerned about my fit of absolute rage but she smiles and I feel happy for succeeding in defending her. I guess we won the war...for now. A few hours from now, I have to run a report down somewhere? I don't know. I hug and wave goodbye and run down the forest path. Since I'm lucid, I smile to myself and go faster. It's nice feeling the breeze and not getting tired from running, I know breathing is not required in the dream and that I have no weight; especially since I'm my OC, she is supposed to run fast and light. Another minute passes of free-running and the area opens up into another grassland with this big brick building, a university. I lose lucid control but my form stays the same as I run across the campus yard, past students, paths, benches, fountains, it's like paradise. Reminds me of X-men. I run to the edge of the forest where the beginning of a forked path begins. The leaves are pretty and colorful, autumn. At the start of the path is this ten-foot-tall lady, the dean, she is surrounded by students, smiling softly. She is the Queen of Nature, might be Mothernature. Her hair is clouds, a long flowing ethereal dress that is shiny and pretty, she just radiates a smooth gradience of gentleness and kindness. I can't really picture her but I do remember her eyes being black like space. Instead of running towards her, (guess we know her?) I ran to the right of the path, suddenly losing energy and slumping down onto the ground tired. My view goes outside to just show me my OC's pickaxe-shaped tail sticking upwards from the ground, don't know why that happened but my vision went back into first-person. I feel the Queen of Nature walking behind me, her voice is soft and echoey, she's chuckling at how I'm lying there face planted in the dirt. She makes a comment on how I should rest and uses (vines?) to sit me up so she can kneel in front of me. I tell her about how we won the war and she nods in approval saying how great that is. I feel warm and comfortable around her, safe, it gets hazy from there and I slowly wake up. Morning dreams are long and weird, man. Outer thoughts get in there and accidentally create a whole story with characters like some induced drug trip.
