"Look who it is." I could hear the sarcasm that laced his voice. "Fernando." Octavius greets. "So how's my daughter?" His smirk grew.
Daughter yeah right. Just because he's her biological father doesn't mean he's her dad.
There's a difference.
Fernando didn't try to be a dad. He just needs her now. I'm not letting him take her away from me.
"We're here for business." I said this as I placed my blazer on the back of my chair. "We're here to discuss how I'm getting my daughter back."
I scoffed. "She is not property." I leaned back, placing my head in my hand. "Well, she is." Fernando tried to argue. "She's an heir of my mafia!" His jaw ticked. It almost looked like he was going to burst.
"And now she's going to be my Wife." Fernando swiftly stood up, pointing the gun at me from across the table.
I tilted my head, smirking. Octavius had his gun aimed directly at his head. "Do it." I said coldly.
I didn't even flinch when Fernando took it off the safe.I knew he wasn't going to do it. "Are you going to kill me like you killed my Father?" I asked, leaning forward in my chair, like he wasn't pointing a gun at my head.
His jaw hardened, lowering his gun. "You'll regret it, King." His tone was laced with poison. "I don't regret things; I don't make mistakes, Fernando."
I rub the sleep out of my eyes as I sit up. Looking around the room, there is still no sign of Ezra. I check my phone and see no messages or calls.
This is pissing me off.
Max isn't in bed anymore, but I hear him down the stairs yelling at Leo.
I toss my phone on the nightstand, get up, and head to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth before stripping and getting into a hot shower.
I felt a large hand lightly grab my waist. I turn, pushing past him, getting out of the shower, grabbing a towel, and wrapping it around myself.
"Nevaeh?" Ezra's sounding confused. My lips were in a tight line.
