Nothing. It was silent. Nothing for weeks. The 'mafia world' was silent. Deadly silent, the kind that makes your skin crawl.
The kind my makes your stomach drop and your mind race.
My thoughts were cut short when my office door opened. Her dirty blonde hair was all over the place. The dark T-shirt stopped at her knees. She rubbed her eyes as she walked over to my desk.
Just looking at her makes me want to bend her over this desk.
"You left me." She whispered. I turned my chair so I was facing her. Nevaeh's eyes were barely opened. She looks so cute when she's tired.
"I'm sorry, Mio Amore. I had paperwork." I placed my hands on her hips. She stared down at me with a blank expression.
Pulling her onto my lap so she was straddling me. She put her head on my shoulder. "I'm tired." I felt her soft lips brush against my neck as she spoke.
This warm feeling filled my chest. I only get this feeling from her.
She always tried. She can sleep all day if you let her. "I know." I rubbed my hand up and down her back. "Just a bit longer, then we can go lay down, okay?" She nodded.
I grabbed the folded blanket that I happened to keep next to my desk for this exact reason. Even though I was hot, I still covered us because I knew she got cold easily.
After two hours of doing paperwork, I finally finished.
I'm burning.
My body is numb.
My legs are asleep.
I feel her steady breathing against my neck. She has been sleeping in the same spot for the last 2 hours. "Baby?" I pushed her hair out of her face.
"Hmm?" Her arms tightened around my torso. "Why don't you go lay down?" She nodded her head, 'no'. I roll my eyes.
She's a stubborn thing, isn't she?
"The bed is more comfortable." She huffed. "No, you're pretty comfortable to me." She said this with her face still buried in my neck. I sighed deeply.
"Want to go somewhere?" Her head shot up from my chest. "Where?" I chuckled. "Nope, not saying. Go get ready."

Nevaeh's dirty blonde hair is in a low, messy knot, with some pieces of hair framing her pale skin. The freckles on her skin look even darker.
My heart may as well just explode.
Just seeing her has my heart running at 100 miles per hour.
She had an off-white cardigan, a spaghetti stripe crop top, and white sweatpants. Pairing her outfit with white converse.
